36 class spec, only 1 have visual particles all the time

Yes, im talking about Shadowform from Priests.

Why arent fire mages on fire or burning all the time? frost mages with a chilly aura? where is the poisonus/toxic particles around death knights?

Yes Blizzard, remove shadowform or make it optional since transmog is a BIG feature in these new no content expansions

This has literally stopped me from rolling a shadow priest. Looks awful.

because people like to actually look at their character, and don’t want to see it hidden behind a cloud of purple.

even with the glyph of reduced shadow you go from a blob of dark purple clouds to a blob of insert race shaped light purple clouds. you have to wear armor that glows with its own particle affects just to notice it underneath shadowform.

Destro locks had burning embers, but Blizzard removed it because it was too good looking.

As a long time spriest main, that also enjoys my mage (that frequently sets her mog according to the current spec being played) I would love other classes/specs to have a particle effect akin to my spriest… with the option of using a glyph to remove the effect for those who don’t want anything. The current glyph for spriest that reduces it just doesn’t quite do it for me on the spriests I don’t want to see the shadows (like my velf spriest… can’t see her glowing hair in that darkness)

I have the same issue with balance druid. You can either be a hideous owlbear, or you can be transparent and blue. Just give a glyph to look normal for both of these specs.

Shadowform and Moonkin form both need to go. (Though Moonkin form could probably stay as an optional form like the tree.)

It’s asinine that we have two casters who have to completely throw away any effort they put into their appearance just to be viable in combat.

The blue isn’t any less ugly either. Honestly the only reason I can stomach playing Druid at all is the Zandalari moonkin form is so great. But that’s one race that’s actually playable out of a dozen garbage fire moonkin.

Shadowform is awesome. It sets us apart, however I don’t see why you can’t glyph it away if you really want to.

Honestly this is a big reason for me too. What’s the point of transmog if it’s all purple all the time. Mabye give us a glyph where our eyes glow purple (think dh fel eyes) and one that just gives u like void tentacles on the ground.

There’s a ton of ways to show we are in void form that doesn’t kill transmog

Hah, I remember in a guild a shadow priest was going to give a lift to another player on his Sands of Time mount. Without any context, though all we heard is discord was a girl asking

“Why is yours all purple?”

Yeah that’s why both shadow priest and balance druid should have an additional glyph to just look normal. Maybe with a slight particle effect around them, but the character itself not changing color.

Closest I’ve ever heard to a justification is so you can tell a healer priest from a Damage Priest in PvP, but that falls short when you have shaman who doesn’t require any kind of effect to be a damage caster.

I don’t personally find Shadowform to be as much of a burden as Moonkin for my druid. It ultimately is the same issue - you cannot see our lovely pixels under all the purple (or feathers).

At this point, however, it’s something I am willing to accept in order to play a class I enjoy. If I want to show off my mog, then I drop out of form.

Would I like a better, more customizable option in both cases? Yes I would.

Shadowform looks so bad tho

Don’t worry, there’s a glyph that makes the shadowform effect less prominent. It’s very noticeable.

/sigh

It really should be a barber option like Druid forms, give us the choice of all the old and new effects, and an “internalized shadow” option for no effect at all.

now if only they took away the stupid amounts of purple on the gear itself and left the cool shadow stuff that floats off the character. Think that would look stupid or better?

Honestly, being enveloped in purple/black/blue smoke would look pretty cool if it didn’t tint your character.

I’d be fine with a toggle or barbershop option like druids get, but gunna give a hard NO to outright removal. I like Shadowform. Also I would love to have more of those effects you listed added into the game, particularly as a DK.

Can y’all non-spriests stop trying to get Shadowform removed? We get it, you don’t want to roll one because Shadowform ruins your mog. And that’s the point, you don’t play one. Stop trying to ruin it for us.

Druids don’t get to toggle their moonkin effect off. You either have the ugly owlbear or you have the ugly blue filter.

There is no “cast like a normal person” option.

Because options ruin everything right?

If you like looking like a bad shadow puppet no one’s trying to take that from you. they just want the option to not use it.

For you there would be no change whatsoever.
