What do you guys think the best shadowlands covenant is for prot pal pvp? I know the answer I just want to see what people think

Since I don’t have beta it makes my guess is challenging since I have to theorycraft blindly looking at talent tree calculators.
I plan on going Kyrian for Prot PvP. Since I usually go full damage build and Divine toll has some sexy possibilities. With Prot doing big dmg through certain leggos and conduits Kyrian looks like a strong choice.
Also the phials from Kyrian look great as Prots only real weakness is curses, bleeds. So if I can remove those maybe get an extra heal that sounds pretty good.
You also get a versa buff that seems easy to keep up and mastery buff too boot depending on which one in Kyrian.
Divine toll is just nasty though if you spec for dmg what it looks like. I was the first Prot to start speccing into Mastery I saw the possibility. It just feels right so will be looking at a similar play style in SL.
There are some really wild combinations though.
Why would throwing an Aoe avengers shield on a 1 min cd be big damage.
I do agree tho the soul bind talent choices are nice

You can see from this Gif under the Kyrian Divine toll. Kinda like a chill streak if anyone bunches up it’s death. Bouncing between targets till its just dead.
Each shield works like Avenger Shield and when paired with First Avenger talent ( 5 hits per shield ) so any Dps with pets or against cleaves it’s super strong. Since Avenger Shield will hit as many times as there are targets. If there are 5 targets each target will get hit 5 times instantly.
Also there is a conduit ringing toll that gives the main target a chance to be hit 2 additional times. Not to mention Divine toll lines up perfectly with Seraphim and you will instantly be refunded the HP spent on it.
I am going for an SoR build eventually although there are many combos so far to mess with. Kyrian is super strong for damage potential. It’s the captain america build and when you press it stuff just melts if you also got CDs.
Of course a lot depends on Meta… If there are a lot of Pet comps then Kyrian will nuke those teams. I also compete in RBGs though too and that weighs on my decisions. So at a team fight my main target eating 7 Avenger Shields instantly is hilarious. Harder to reach the 7 hit cap in Arena though.
Prot Pal has a couple 1 shot globaling options in SL.
So what covenant is best? Did I change your mind? I enjoy Theorycrafting and used to enjoy doing that with Memphisrains talking about new Prot builds. If you ever want to bounce ideas off one another let me know in SL. I’ll be around creating something fun.

Cool I’ll add when I get on latter haven’t been playing much though taking a break enjoying other games before launch because I’m going to be grinding hard. I always like trying to come up with something original with my play style but usually go for Big dmg combos.

I figured. Ive seen the conduit that makes it hit like a truck and heal for the damage it does. Fleshcraft is pretty nice too. I just feel like the soul binds are a little lacking.

Yea been looking at that too. Agree though on the soul binds. I don’t think it will be for me for my overall build and type of gameplay where I like to do high sustain damage with burst. Although it’s still early.
I think you can really amp up the Kyrian ability through conduits. Until I can test some for real though won’t know.
It will be interesting to see how bulwark of the righteous plays with divine toll. Could be massive SoR hits.
I’ve been going back and forth between kyrian and necro. I expect we will see some changes in the future though.

Bingo that is why I said I’m leaning to an SoR build for my 1 shots. What Divine toll leaves standing will then get Judgement to amp dmg massively with punish conduit then Boom… Sexy SoR crit.
There are just so many multipliers it’s crazy. I can’t wait to try it.
I am relooking at Necrolords now but my first take on why I don’t want it is synergy. Maybe the conduit to amp Vanquisher hammer is just that nasty but keep in mind it’s Shadow dmg. That is a huge bummer because you can’t amp it’s dmg with Vengeful shock conduit that increase Holy dmg.
Where on Kyrian it works better for my 1 shot. You really want vengeful shock increase up for the biggest dmg. At max rank 45% increase dmg that is like me using SotW now for the 50% dmg increase in my burst.
Is the correct choice reroll Rouge or Mage?

Rogue/mage is so boring though. Not to mention dishonorable. Prot is a fighter of the light.
On beta I can use the conduit that increases vanquishers hammer 100%. It crits 26k. I can basically one shot with it on a 30 sec cd. The conduit at max rank increases it 400+% so ur looking at gaurenteed one shots lol. If this gets nerfed I will probably be going night fae.

Nice yea there are a few 1 shots like that but don’t see that staying the same. I was hoping to get up to 1 shots with SoR or Divine Toll with the extra procs. The SoR synergy is crazy.
Yea remember you talking about them. Atm I am just sold on Kyrian for a Dps build and it has 2 good stat procs as well with Versa/Mastery. I really don’t like the shadow dmg feels like is clashes with Holy dmg.
Just imagine using vengeful shock conduit for 45% more holy dmg for 5 secs if Vanquishers hammer was Holy.
So I plan on using vengeful shock to amp my Divine toll into my SoR 1 shot. Between the Leggo for SoR and the conduit with 250% more dmg then 45% more holy dmg. It’s going to be nuts and why it was nerfed once already. Prot was embarrassing Dps in M+
