I got all four of mine pretty quick so I’ve just been giving them away. They have no sale value or use to me, might as well let someone else use them.
I was originally concerned about the droprate but once I got one and saw they were tradable, I knew once the event progressed people would have eachother’s back and that’s pretty cool. 
Could the community be better? Sure.
But is it nearly as bad as some want you to believe? Nope.

I had a helpful chap trade me the last one I needed. I believe the “bad community” is overblown by this forum. I’ve also tanked the new dungeon on my DK, druid and monk and everybody was chill.
Update: ALL 4 traded to me.
I didn’t loot a single one myself lol.
Looted all 4 myself, took 1 day lol.

It’s nice to be able to give loot away. 
It’s the part of the ‘‘community’’ that is farming for the trinket and for stuff so t hey are the more ‘friendly’ type. It’s the ones that stayed 'till the end in Zereth Mortis, Mechagon, etc endlessly farming stuff. The brunt of the people just got the achieve or tried out the event and went back to m+, or their other game 
People are nice until youre 1+ month into new endgame content, then it goes out the window because people just want to efficiently get their loot chances.
Can someone explain how I get water/earth?
Like everytime I log on it seems it’s Fire in Barrens and Badlands. And air in Ungoro. I’m just kinda confused
It’s completely random on what element spawns I finally saw a fire pop to get my last essence. I kinda wish they would have at least made it so you wouldn’t get the same element in more than one spot but they didn’t so I often see all three spots be the same element.
Ah… weird. I’ve logged on each day in the evening and just seen these elements so I must be unlucky
