310 mounts ruin all other mounts. Make it a riding crop

I didn’t play wotlk back in the day, so I’m not a purist. I’m enjoying the game for the first time. I’ve taken time to collect a few mounts and I like some more than others.

Disabling the Riding Crop felt wrong, like becoming weaker. After using a 310% speed mount, that feeling is even more noticeable. I don’t see the choice as enjoyable: use a fast mount that you don’t like or a slow mount that you like.

I’ve heard that obtaining a 310% mount makes druid flying form go at 310% speed. That inspired my proposal: make obtaining a 310% mount like a riding crop, transferrable to other mounts. That way I can enjoy the mounts that I like without compromise.

As a bonus, give ground mounts some buff too! Going to the old lands feels always very slow.

I still use Swift Flight form a lot, even though I have the 310 mount on my druid, because it’s so fun to switch in and out of flight form while traveling through the sky, gathering herbs…

Flying an epic flying mount with a riding crop has you moving at 418%, a 310% mount no crop has you moving at 410%.
The riding crop is a bigger loss than not using a 310 vs the 280.

But sure I’m in favor of flying mounts scaling if you have a 310% just like druid swift flight form does.

Your swift flight form is 310%, the ‘buff’ shows wrong but the spell tooltip should show it correctly.

I think once you get your first 310% mount, all other mounts turn into 310%. Just my few cents.

This has been suggested many times as it would allow you to continue using all mounts, not be restricted to the 1 310% you have to fly faster. It could have been a good change too. But sadly, as usual, no answer from Blizzard.

This is the entire point of Classic. To play WoW how it used to be. Not how you want it to be. We dealt with this back then and you can deal with it now.

Go play retail if you want all the same speed flyers. Harder to get flyers get 310% simple as that. And no. Sitting at a spawn for hours afking tabbed out drooling over asmongold till you hear an addon horn blast is not something that’s hard.
