TBH if I’m whispered to pay up 10k even when I’m supplying everything at gold quality, that’s definitely not happening. The most I’ve paid for a craft is like 5k because I had some dedicated crafters over time and knew they were good at what they did or they were just nice people.
well for someone to be able to make 5 star crafts without concentration on the epic gear means they probably did the profession shuffle which is costly.
5 - 10K is reasonable. But in all fairness, you know how many 100’sK go into leveling and upgrading tools to get those 5 stars? And that doesn’t include patterns you have to buy off the AH for ungodly amounts. You get what you pay for, imo. Public order and cross fingers or pay for sure thing.
Any system that puts the community at the center needs to be something with 1000 sellers/buyers. To come close to anything that looks like a monopoly is to bring out the worst impulses in this community.
Additionally, the bot situation needs more attention. If players cant spend a few hours farming and make money because the bots over saturated the market, then the players quit and the bots control everything.
Crafting is over engineered, its more like a phone game inserted in wow for whales and to sell tokens. Crafts should have been made like the lego in Shadow Lands. None of this find a crafter.
… and this proves that you haven’t got the faintest clue of what you are talking about. The person who is requesting the item has to ALWAYS provide the spark as it is a soulbound component that exists so people couldn’t just buy a full set of 606 gear the moment they hit max level.
You are paying for profession gear (which costs Artisan’s Aquity), intensive specializing (since I can make one thing very well I can’t make another thing that might make me gold elsewhere), and concentration (to get a confirmed 5-star craft you have to use essentially all of your daily concentration - it gets lower the more skill the person has but again, we are back to profession gear and even more intensive specializing at that point).
30k for one work order, or at least the ballpark of around there, is eminently fair.
I paid 20k to get my off-hand and I’m happy with it. Because I ain’t about to exploit another player’s work just because I get to act the role of a skinflint cheapskate.
But Foxhound put it the absolute best, because if you dislike all of this… Go and make it yourself.
Can I interest you in an entire American sized convenience store’s amount of tinfoil? You and others who keep saying this stuff you just said seem like you could use it.
The crafter can provide the spark also, but it’s rarely done that way.
Which does not cost 30K. At all. 10K maybe, considering serious crafters would already have that and not the actual mats, which would cut into that ‘30K’ deeply.
Who wouldn’t fall over themselves to make something for 30K if someone is that gullible.
