Is this a reasonable fee to pay? I mean I get professions are a lot more expensive this expansion, but 30K where all mats are supplied and they’re not using concentration seems a wee bit excessive.

Depends on the craft to be honest, but in any world, i wouldnt pay 30k for a 5 star

Yeah, if it’s a rare pattern, it changes dramatically. Same with really low-pop servers.
I wouldn’t pay that either, but it’s hard to say without knowing the item. The crafter may have paid hundreds of thousands, if not more, for the pattern.

Even with concentration, I still label that as a total ripoff. Materials for a lot of these crafts are already setting people back large sums of gold. When I do R5 concentration crafts on my blacksmith, I’m perfectly happy with 10k or something around those lines.
If you need the warglaives crafted at R5, I can do that for you, if you haven’t got them already. Embellishments and all can be included if you’d like, but the materials will need to be rank 3. Let me know and I’d be happy to hook you up.

I am a cheap player, so I have alts with crafting set up, so for me, I wouldn’t pay that much (if I am providing all the mats). However, it lies in the crafter’s hands when it comes to a price they wish to be paid for their services.
You either except that price and pay it, or you don’t and look elsewhere.

Paid that for the adrenal clasp, was searching for a craft for 3 days, 30k seemed low at that point, made more just selling cloth.

30k isnt much when your able to atm farm near gold cap in a week if you know what your doing

I wouldn’t pay that much but, I also won’t say that someone is price gouging either. It’s incredibly time consuming and costly to level our professions to a point we can guarantee a five star craft and put that in with a rare recipe and you pay the premium.
I know there are several crafters in my guild after rare recipes that have been advertised on the AH for 300k each and those recipes are selling. Our crafters refuse to pay that but someone else is. One of those recipes we saw up for 30k by the time the player withdrew the gold from their warband bank and looked again someone else had it listed for 100k. That recipe promptly disappeared and then it was up for 300k.
So while people are charging absurd prices for patterns yeah, I can see folks wanting to recuperate that money via the crafts.
Just like in real life. When you pay a plumber to come to your house and they charge you several hundred dollars for a 5 minute fix. Your not paying for a 5 minute fix, your paying for all the training and years it took them to get to the point where they can come in and diagnose and fix that issue in 5 minutes.
In this case your paying for the effort and energy they spent getting to the point to craft the item and any raw investments they made to be able to make the item your having crafted.

If you don’t want to pay a crafter to make an item, you’re welcome to level up the profession yourself on an alt. See how much that costs instead.
