We have so many more players because we won. If you want the rewards for war mode you need to turn it on like everyone else. Rewarding the LOSERS in the conflict is dumb, go group with alliance the way we do when alliance are camping areas and you’ll get the rewards we get.
Horde: I cant find any Alliance to kill in war mode.
Blizz: Let’s incentivize the lower pop faction into playing war mode.
Umm looks like that to me.
30% of nothing is still nothing lol.
What?!? You expect us to read your entire post before posting our knee jerk reply??
lol
30% bonus of what? Rep? Don’t need. Honor? Don’t need, couldn’t care less. Anything else??
What would make me turn on warmode is equally balanced shards with FUN large-scale world objectives worth battling for where 40-160+ people can play in the same area without the server making the slightest spasm.
Yesterday at Arom’s stand , a full 40 man alliance raid group camped everyone trying to do the nearby Champions of Azeroth WQ. Call went out and a 40 man Horde group countered . Amazing fun for about 1 hour till the alliance got beaten back due to our constantly replenishing nos.
PS:- Sharding for WM is working I guess because when we tried to form a second group , it phased us out .
I love how the Horde are complaining about the alliance having a 30% reward bonus as “tears” while their complaining about not having enough alliance to kill in warmode when their only sole purpose is to make them rage and uninstall. Or a good “honorable” battle as were lead to believe, silly us alliance. (Okay i know that’s not the intended effect, most of you horde are kind folk, but some of you do go that far, that goes for the alliance as well.)
What do you want exactly? more alliance or less alliance? If anything, i say the better the incentive for the alliance, the better chances they will turn on the warmode. That’s what you want, yes? if you complaining alliance getting 30% reward bonus, well theirs a reason why they got it other then them complaining about warmode.
Or as people been calling it… “Hordemode”.
Personally, i think it should be more then 30%, like 50% rewards, and a 25% damage reduction from horde players (While i have said you are a kind lot, you sure do like to dogpile on 1 person.). That’s just me however.
Oh look, Alliance BIAS. And yet, they’re been complaining that it has been Horde BIAS for everything since the beginning of Beta for Azeroth.
Honestly, if the Alliance has something different then Horses, (No were not coming over to the horde side, we don’t need any of the “Anti hero” nonsense, we got our own old dog here.) Their wouldn’t be too much complaints about horde bias.
Somewhat being fictitious aside, I felt BFA missed a perfect opportunity to give alliance Lions, Rams, Panthers, and Some sort of Mechanical beast of sort.
If their just gonna give us Horses, why not go all out on them and give us something extremely crazy, like void horses or something?
Still not turning it on.
Since the company-line is that “there is no imbalance” I’m going to enjoy watching the signature-system of BfA fail massively.
Still not turning it on. Too many Horde gank squads making it impossible to quest most of the time. No thanks. Maybe if the Horde didn’t run in packs like cowards looking for a lone Ally to attack it would be different.
So because one faciton is inherently bad at the game, they get a boost? There’s more Alliance than Horde overall on NA realms. They simply choose not to put in the time, effort, or anything. I’ve played both factions and have 120s on both. Alliance is way lazier and in general the people want easy content and carries.
The bonus was a terrible idea from the start. In Classic Blizz fashion, they’ve doubled down instead of admitting a mistake.
You (and many other horde) are purposely ignoring WoW history. Most of the talented PvP guilds rerolled to horde in the past because of racials. That caused a faction imbalance and population has nothing to do with it. It’s a matter of overall skill level.
At one point, it was tilted the other way, so Blizzard (rightfully) sought to fix the imbalance. But when it swung too far the other way - this is the problem - Blizzard did not seek to fix it. They ignored the imbalance and have established the imbalance as the status quo by maintaining a balance of racials and, to an extent, lore.
But the imbalance remains and it will remain until they do for the Alliance what they did for the horde and seek to implement in-game reforms to cause people to want to roll Alliance.
For a while, I thought they did that with Dark Iron Dwarves, but they nerfed them TWICE; and this tells you all you need to know: the first nerf was a stealth nerf. They reduced the DiD racial without even mentioning it in release notes.
They know what it would take to fix the imbalance, but lack the will.
Under a director who is on record of saying that he will never roll Alliance, I sometimes question if it is a lack of will or something else.
I Encourage you to look at WOD, where the alliance had better racials. Bg win rates for the horde at an extreme low, and high rated pvp was ally dominated. They nerfed the dwarf racial and indirectly the human while indirectly buffing orcs, resulting in the shift back to horde.
When it comes to pvp no side is “inherently” good or bad, it really depends on how strong the racials are over the other team.
The 30% is a way better for horde players as buffing ally racials would cause another shift in which horde players would be stuck in a crappy position.
Guess what?
We still won’t do it. 30 percent more xp is not worth 30 percent, or more, trouble. It isn’t worth it anymore than 10 percent was.
Besides, Horde asked for this; They wanted some Alliance to actually be in Warmode.
Like more than half of the people looking for changes to War Mode were looking for combat bonuses against other players if they were outnumbered - NOT a bandaid ‘here’s extra stuff for being in warmode, guise’ sort of fix.
Isn’t the buff for either faction, based if they’re outnumbered on their shard?
It just occurred to me after reading your post that perhaps the staff isn’t as out of touch as they appear to be. The change/increase in benefits of warmode seems to be a token gesture and are as well aware as most of us are that this wont change anything. They want to make the impression that they tried to address player concerns and dissatisfaction well aware the change would have little to no net effect. I mean they tried, and seem to be taking player concerns seriously and taking steps to correct them, right? “Player perception” ~ Ion
