Is this normal? For a instance that lasts at best 60 seconds, is the queue being this long normal?
It even says “average wait time 3 mins”
yet here I am, 30 mins in and nothing

It became normal when only the first run of the day mattered for goodies.

So running on alts is pointless?
The new broom only drops on first kill per account per day and love rocket supposedly has a higher drop rate on first kill per account which could be true technically even if they only increased it by 0.00000001% and the normal it doesn’t exist rate after words.
So a lot of people like me gave up running the armies through leading to higher queue times.
I’m convinced there’s bugs in the queue system. Whenever my queue is significantly higher than what the average wait time is, I leave and requeue. It almost always pops within a few minutes.

Im starting to get the same feeling. Even during TWs the queue times are abnormally high then when I requeue its BAM straight up, but this isnt working at all for me with the Valentine event.
I went 2.5 hours in queue yesterday before it finally went off
Are you queuing at like 4am or something?
I dunno whats up, but I havent waited more than 5 mins yet as dps.

When it hits 2x estimated time i requeue and ir usually fixes it and i get in in only a couple minutes

That’s what happens when no one wants to tank or heal. Who wants to go in there to tank and be met with a Devastation Evoker who signed up as healer with no intent to heal a darn thing? Who wants to heal that when no one bothers using the perfume neutralizer? If you really want to do it and get it done ASAP, make an Allied Race character and tank or heal it.

Nope its been reported that the new Broom mount can and has dropped on Alts…its posted here somewhere…
That is not correct now…there have been reports from others this week now that the Broom can drop on alts…sure your best try is first one but still a chance on alts now…

+1 to the idea that Blizz making only the first run per account have a chance for the broom killed the fast queues.
I have a tank for these gimmicks…
Suffer with queue time is kinda of a choice for this kind of content… the price to play what you want id say

Should switch to prot spec for 45 seconds and just get it done, dude.
Correct. There is no point to doing the event more than once per day.
Yeah, I dont know why anyone with a tank or healer spec would queue as DPS for such trivial content.
There are no mechanics and stuff dies so quickly
i queue as a tank the thing pops within 2 minutes, i queue as a healer its about a minute. I queued for dps and it seemed to sit there for awhile (one day)
another day, i queued as dps and got an insta pop, i queued as a tank it took over 10 minutes… theres no reason why its so random
i bet if you had a full group and queued it probably would still take a minute for it to go
