I just wanted to get a clarification on the instance caps. So, if I have two accounts on my Bnet and have a character on the same realm on both do they share the lock?
I only ask because currently if I hit my 5 per hour on my account and use that same account on a different server - I’m still locked. Not sure if that is intended.
The reason I ask is because I have my pally on one account and this mage on the other. I like to run my pally through mara for ghost mushrooms to make LIPS for PVP, so I could easily hit 30 instances in a day relatively easy. Especially between the two of them.
I have two rogues on two different accounts on the same bnet that i do instance runs on and i lock out 30 on each every day. They’re on the same server. They don’t share the same lockouts.
You assume that he has two accounts specifically because of the 30 instance limit.
If you’re gonna be hitting the instance cap so much to the point you are making multiple accounts to counter it, lets face it, you aren’t quitting, you’re an addict
I have two accounts because leveling a paladin is cancerous. So I leveled the mage first and then followed him on the paladin killing stuff for quests and boosting.
Maybe my mother just died and I want to cope by mindlessly farming out some instances to take my mind off things. It doesn’t mean I do it everyday. Just because you hit the cap does not mean you hit it consistently and even if you did hit it consistently what I do with my free time is not Blizzard’s choice to make. Obviously they don’t care about our well being or they would’ve never implemented the honor system.
I’m not strawmaning anything. YOU said that if I hit 30 instances a day then I’m an addict. I’m telling you to mind your own business because what I do with my free time is my choice and I pay $15 a month to play this game just like you do.
So what about the people who do? I don’t understand the logic here.
“It doesn’t affect me so screw them”
or
“They play too much in my opinion”
Abstract away what blizzard is doing here. With this change Blizzard is saying “We are willing to sacrifice the player experience to save money” and it may not affect you today, but one day it will affect you.
Ya, stuff like this isnt a reason to change a game for millions of people. Sorry. Blizzard does not care about the individual they have millions of people to consider.
When a very small portion of the population are contributing in a large part to major inflation that effects ALL players negatively then i would say the needs of the many outweighs the needs of the few
