Being suspended on my DK from im guessing mass reporting( not that the mass reporting bans me but it probably gave the gm enough incentive to not look into the details) but yet Ive grinded…
Exalted with orgrimmar, almost revered with UC, TB, and the trolls via turn ins; earned alterac valley all star; capped roughly ~45 graveyards and defended 10-20 towers (all proven with achievments) in less than 6 days on my DK, and yet I was suspended for 30 days for conduct in BGs and it was reviewed. No im sorry it wasnt, my achievements prove ive been working my butt off in BGs and i got a 30 day suspension for it. Goodbye wotlk release LOL. Ive opened a ticket but we all know the GM’s will say they’ve reviewed it in less than 1 minute and it will be upheld.
Ya this automated banning system is trash
A previous discussion where a council and GM are upholding the idea of you must follow the masses and do as they say or you can and will be punished for actively doing allowed things within the BG

Yeah, also i feel like all the people that i know who got banned were the most active this weekend. Most of the players who grinding 150+ bgs got hit.

yep i just got hit with a 30 day ban as well. admittedly, i did get some deserters as a byproduct of real life happenings but i dont see how it’s ok to hand out a 30 day ban and ruin the launch of the new expansion like this (especially for a first time offender).
I see 3-4 people in the harpy cave or leveling weapon skill off rams or whatever type of mob just afking. Good riddance.
That’s not how the system works, You get reported in the AV and you receive a 3 minute debuff where you have to enter combat. You clearly didn’t notice it and got removed.

Leave the bg if something is happening. It takes two seconds.
You don’t get banned for leaving bgs, you get banned for afking.

Something is clearly broken with the system. I wasn’t afk in the cave. I wasn’t mooching. I had honor every game from killing horde between IBT and TP. I didn’t join until max level. There is no reason I should have been banned. The person who was heal botting me on their new boosted character also got banned.
This isn’t 2 people moaning cause they were afk autorunning into a bush or people at level 61 leveling in the cave instead of playing the game. There are a ton of people who legit should not have been hit with this ban wave. Cause I agree, ban those people who are screwing us over by not helping. But I’m not one of those.
Due to how this ban wave appears to be working, those people fighting in the harpy cave won’t get banned because they did damage and healing in the bg.
Thats not how the report system works in AV.

Nope, had a talk about this and a GM and council member was defending the fact if you D positions you can be reported and punished for it.
Like my post says ive grinded 42k rep for org and AV, and almost 21k for tb, uc,and trolls, have capped over 40 gys and back capped a couple towers (much harder to do)
Done this all grinded 5/5 brut, weapon, ring, boots, and trinket. I’ve slept at least 7 hours a night every day this weekend and didnt play most of Sunday. So i did all that and i was afk during the games? DOUBT, the rep alone wouldnt allow me to be afk.
