Kinda uninterested in playing alts if I have to sit through Bolvar and Jaina giving me the story beats for the better part of an hour. I’ve gone through it 6 times and I really don’t need Jaina telling me about how big and spooky the Jailer is anymore. Don’t get me wrong, Laura Bailey is great, buuuuut I kinda want to actually play the expansion, not sit on the slow-moving ride as exposition is dumped on top of me.

Agreed. I have one alt I managed to get to 60 and one sitting at 50 for all eternity because I just …can’t.

It’s still good XP tho. Turn on WM and get any other xp boosts you can, you get 1 level in it.

if it’s taking you that long, you’re doing something wrong.
if you’ve done it 6 times, you should have it down to around half an hour by now.
it doesn’t need a skip.

The funny thing is that it’s pretty quick and easy with a Maw mount. Of course by the time everyone can mount in the maw they will probably add the skip option.

Yeah, 3 months, they won’t do a skip this fast into an expansion and quite honestly I think it wont happen for a long time.

It is a big intro to skip and even though I would love to skip it on alts, there have been other expansions you still can’t skip the intros so there is no guarantee there ever will be.

9.1 would be the earliest if we even get one at all.

We’re 75 months into Warlords of Draenor and it doesn’t have an intro skip; I wouldn’t hold your breath.

I’m sure at some point soon they’ll add a skip. For now I consider it like I used to consider making alts in other games: if I can’t be bothered to do the intro, i won’t be bothered to do the endgame stuff to make my character grow stronk.

You can skip the intro by taking a portal to Ashran and just going to where you’d get your garrison or you can sit on a chair around a blue campfire in a secret underwater cave on the Timeless Isle and get teleported to Gorgrond.
You can’t take a portal to Oribos and just start there. You have to do the Escape the Maw introduction.

They don’t mind you skipping the entire Storyline, but you must play through the Intro questline on every single character.

More people would be happy if you could just skip all the dialog. The artificial slowness of putting together the helm. Jaina’s explanation of her Torg experience. That sort of thing.
Actually playing the intro is pretty fast. Waiting for everyone to stop talking, like in real life, is the annoying part.
(I actually don’t find it that bad, but then, I only have 4 lvl 60 chars.)

That’s mostly what I’m referring to. “Walk slowly to place each piece of the helm while Bolvar talks” and then “Listen to Jaina as she makes ice sculptures” and other bits like it just makes the whole experience feel like it’s dragging on and on.

no… although… the last time i went through, was on a paladin, so Divine Steed may have made a difference.

I understand the sentiment, but how do you feel about the fact that the intro gives nearly a full level?
Do you feel like you’d rather just grind through other suboptimal ways instead of follow a natural leveling path, especially if you are going to choose to redo the story as opposed to Threads of Fate?
I feel like that is a huge part of why they haven’t allowed a skip.
The previous intros gave much less experience and the expansions were set up in a way where you didn’t need to complete even 70 percent of the zones to make it to max.
This expansion it feels like if you are following the story, you wont get anywhere near max.

Apparently people that want the skip don’t give an expletive… Hell they could take a level from me down to 49 and I would still take the skip…
