I was just in a Wintergrasp that ended rather abruptly, while the offensive had no vehicles. Apparently the relic door was somehow knocked down, but none of the walls were? Some siege damage item, perhaps?

people are so tired of wintergrasp they probably found an exploit. can’t say i’m surprised
No exploits were used, don’t worry. Just a LOT of planning beforehand.
lets stop and analyze this screenshot. the gate is down without any walls being down. if you were throwing grenades, you would have to get 40 engineers inside the base and get multiple waves of grenades out, grenades have a 1m cd.
all this in under 3m. not likely, especially when there was enough of a battle for vehicles to be built.
Yeah, that was the first thing that popped into my mind, but at least 15-20ish people showed up at sunken ring, got wiped, the defense vehicles were made and then the game just ends.
I’m gonna get my popcorn ready for when you get banned for this one.

Did the game declare a winner or did so many people leave that the match ended abruptly after a short (only like 5 min) timer.
Otherwise it’s probably an exploit of some kind because while the final gate is fragile I doubt you could do so much damage so early in the Match without vehicles.
Or who knows maybe it’s bugged and accepting AoE damage somehow as siege damage.
Edit, I forgot it was possible to smash through the final gate in wrath with Saronite Bombs within like 60 or so seconds but that took alot of people, I guess maybe as I doubt you’ll ever see a full Wintergrasp premade that perhaps something like a buff is increasing the damage of the bombs thus reducing the required number of people like a saltwater potion.
This will be interesting. There is nothing I can think of that can possibly be done to get relic door down in 3 minutes lol.
the bombs did 500 damage then, now they only do 150.
2 salvos of 40 players at 500 damage is 40,000 damage, enough for the gate which someone said is 30k. but 20 players at 150 damage is only 3,000k per salvo, and 2:22 needs to account for travel time from the start, getting a lock gate up, getting a team in, and then even if by some magic could get 2 salvos in, they would still be 24k short of bringing the gate down and would need 8 more salvos.
Yeah, it declared offense to be victorious and the normal end of game panel popped up. I was so surprised that I closed it to look at the map and see what happened.
