What is going on? I’m 100% positive I’m tagging the boss. I’m tagging all three mobs that spawn during a portal. Three times in a row now it hasn’t let me loot anything from the boss. No loot-a-rang. No clicking. Nothing. Am I missing something?

delete the wild cards in your bag.
Your only drop was going to be another one and you already had your limit of 10 so you got “nothing”.

Most likely, you’re full on Wildcards.
Dr. Boom won’t drop any if you’ve got 9-10 of them, so if you don’t win any of the other prizes, he just won’t have any loot.

players at the ones I’ve gone too have reported getting up to 3 of the items in one drop
I’ve been giving away the dupes I get.
I’m sure you’ll get them all before the event is over.
So, yes, I did have too many wild cards. But how was any player in-game supposed to know this? This is fully insane with how little Blizzard educates the players in-game.
EDIT: I just wasted three portals for nothing.
I found out by asking in trade while I was waiting for a portal to open.
Socializing at the portal event areas has been how I’ve spent the last few days in WoW.
It’s been alot of fun talking with the other players on my connected realm.
Yes, I’ve literally been standing around chatting in /1 and /2 and doing little else in between portal events.
edit to add, I also found out that that the wild cards we play near the tables helps the people sitting at the tables in someway. I’ve not sat at one of the tables. So I have no idea how it helps. I just run up to one when others are and spend all my wild cards.
The wildcards are only good for the play 5 HS cards quest. So if you didn’t get some more to drop you aren’t missing out on anything.
They arn’t wasted, unless you care about the wildcards which do nothing, you didn’t get anything else to drop so nothing was lootable.
Just delete you wildcards if you care about seeing more wildcards.
Mount. Parties.
The single greatest community event in wow: walking up to someone who is on a mount, getting on that same mount, then having fifteen other people walk up and get on that same mount and you all just stand around waiting
It doesn’t quite beat the Oribos frog parties, where we would run around on the Arboreal Gulper and just do circles around the center, but it is my favorite part of events like these. 25 cloud serpents. 25 yaks. 25 Ashes.
It’s just community. It’s also the only time /say gets any use outside of the forbidden inn

I main a druid, so I spend time after the boss dies rezzing the dead so they don’t have to run back
