3 hours of pre patch event and all 3 zones couldnt finish objectives fast enough to spawn the boss

who thought these health buffs were a good idea? It was fine when they lowered the timer. But im now seeing less and less participation due to how boring this is.

I suspect this change is why

  • The event quest is now daily and account-bound (was weekly, per-character).

Only worth doing once per day now.

Well, it might take all day to do it. It’s taking the full hour to spawn the boss one time…if it even happens. And if it doesn’t, then it’s an hour wasted.

My group spawned the LK twice and the Dragonblight event is still up for the next 13 mins so likely sharding problem.

Must be to do with server as it’s not instanced content… was doing just fine before. After all servers still matter to a certain degree despite what people say.

Must be a per-server issue, at 6am yesterday my server was spawning the boss 4 times over the hour.

what people need to do is one person get the mini bosses and the main boss to less than half of the health and then all tag it. The health of these are very low initially and one person can bring them to half health in a couple of seconds but it just hits the millions after a few tags.

not a server issue - they buffed the health of the mini bosses so a mob like Hogger now takes almost 10 minutes to kill - this happened sometime late yesterday because I quit playing yesterday and it was fine but this morning is ridiculous.

Was this on a level 70 character or on a lower level character?

do you have chromie time on? if so turn it off, chromie time makes it so you dont have any level 70s in it, and it becomes a real slog to try to get the event done. (you still gain massive xp for it while outside of chromie time)

you’re probably in chromie time, you need to leave it so you’re grouped with 70s - scaling is broken, if you’re below 70 it doesn’t get scaled to your level, it says it is but mobs still have millions of hp while you do 1k dps

Wait, doesn’t that make the event worse?
(I’ve only done it during the original config, but ran several character through)

The original design requiring an alt army to get everything was bad, but so is eliminating the use of alts at all, and replacing them with grinding; which may or may not be easier then before as bosses respawn, but play time isn’t focused so you may not get a boss spawned / killed.

No. It’s 9k a day just from the quests. 1.5-ish from the final boss, and 200 each for completing a task. It’s better than having to swap around characters and track which one has done which zone’s quest.

I’ve literally never experienced this issue with final bosses not being spawned, so I assume it’s either a sharding/server-specific thing, or people are…exaggerating.

I am not seeing it take an hour to spawn the boss, did all three zones last night, in each zone the boss spawned 3 times during the hour. And each boss was dropping 1400 currency per kill and each of the events to spawn the boss was giving 200 currency and I got gear drops multiple times from bosses and the spawn events, including a couple boxes from bosses that have the 493 base i-level gear… Made a nice start on gearing alts with drops I could not use.

Last hour, took my 61 pally to 70, killed Ony 4 times.

we put down hogger in a couple minutes this morning 3 times. Boss popped 4 times that hour. Server/population issue.

oh yes, I ran into that on mine.

All I want is the dribble of drake awakened crests dropping from each encounter. So the recent changes are good for me.

Things were working okay the first night. Was able to do the full round of scenarios and main boss every 10-15 minutes. Seemed to be working as intended. Not sure they then had to go and screw things up again.
