show me the source because you are wrong way too often to just believe you. I looked into things years ago and they used to restrict you to a couple of slots and if you wanted more you paid more.
The source is I’m actually playing the free trial right now? Meanwhile you played “years ago”. Google it.
yes well again you don’t seem to know the difference between where you are in a position to know or not and I will pass on searching for it because you are batting 0 so far in the accuracy department.
You’ll pass on googling it? I accept your surrender then.
I answered this already.
Trials are not for new players. New players… are simply playing chrs for the first time. The game intentionally starts off slowly to let players figure out how to play.
But once you done that, you don’t need to do it again. THAT is what a Trial is for. You start a higher level with some sort of gear, so that you aren’t just waiting to get certain Talents, etc. You can just “see if you like it.”
But you can do that in less than an hour, let alone THREE hours. And as I said, if you REALLY DO need more than 3 hours… make another one.
There is absolutely NO LEGIT REASON to need more than 3 hours. NONE.
So because you can’t cite an example, means it’s not a valid reason?
Trust me, there are things you can farm. THERE IS A REASON IT’S DONE THIS WAY, even if you’re not aware of it.
Think of it this way: it’s done to PREVENT EXPLOITING. If you’re not aware of the exploits… that’s a GOOD THING! They shouldn’t be common knowledge.
Let’s keep it that way.
As someone who almost always uses trial characters for purposes other than intended, I can tell you they definitely should not increase the time.
It might be nice if they removed CRZ in old content on all servers though and people wouldn’t be using these trial characters so much in other ways.
They could just block people like you shrug Give normal people 1-3 24 hour trials. Its’ not hard.
It’s enough to get you to play it and think you want to boost that class, but then you’re saddled with a useless class you probably won’t play.
Anytime I create a new character, I can usually tell within 20 levels if it going to fly.
If not it gets deleted.
I am not a big fan of melee classes. I do not like waiting for cooldowns.
how are they going to determine who to block? 90% of the players making trial characters don’t do what they are supposed to do with them, eg. anyone who thinks it takes more than 3 hours to learn a class in world content.
Simple. You get 1-3, thats it. If you want to use yours to make a druid and farm for 24 hours whatever.
What are you using your trial for? You can always just recreate another of the same class.
You can’t do any instanced content with them, so your options are limited as to what you can do in the open world anyways.
3 hours is plenty, especially considering a class trial gets to use only one spec and doesn’t even get to experience the full class. Making a class is free, you can play them for 3 hours and get to somewhere in the 30+ range and get to change spec as you go to experience even more.
In reality you are not going to experience your full class until you not only get to max level, get all your spells, but also get to a high enough iLVL.
It’s hilarious how fast leveling is these days. You could spend 2-3 days playing a new character and hit 50, if not 60.
You might as well just play the class, and later delete it if you decide you don’t like it.
Seemed to me like the class trial was just meant to help total noobs get their buttons and a basic rotation organized and start levelling. I don’t think it was meant to teach the max level stuff in an expansion. Like how you watch a movie trailor or listen to some sample audio to get a feel for the flavor of things before purchasing. (Kind of neat how the character creation screen has them use some abilities when you toggle around the classes too.)
I mean that’s 100% what it is. It’s supposed to give you a taste of what it’s like so you spend money to experience the full thing lol.
