What is the point of 7 Combo Points when Kidney Shot and Dispatcher are both now max 5pts?
Given the point investment required to get DS in Outlaw, not really understanding the nerf.
I’ve seen that like 33%+ of our Damage is Dispatch in testing…. but given how much we have to weave into our rotation (RTB, SND, Thistle Tea…) just to be RELEVANT, is our damage profile really too high?

Dispatch still hits harder with 7 CPs but now the new talent Summarily Dispatched will only stack to 5 stacks instead of the 7 it was before. That was the only change to it.

Has anyone tested or clarified what happens when you have 7 combo points and cast Kidney Shot? Do you spend all 7 but get the effect of 5, or do you end up with 2 combo points remaining after the cast?
From what I’ve seen, Kidney Shot only use 5 cp. The extras are carried over - like anticipation used to do. Other finishers get the full value of 7 cp.

Anticipation should just be brought back as a talent.
The idea of having 7 CPs doesn’t make sense with the way they have done it IMO.

Except it does make sense. Make pick the talents thag increase your CP generation as well. Sub rogue is literally able to generate 7 cp in one GCD on single target.
I will say…. it seems like they balanced Outlaw’s damage down with 7CP Dispatches in mind.
It’s a bit problematic, though— at the moment we don’t have sufficient stopping power in PvP.
Perhaps it will be different in Dragonflight proper.

Yeah dont use prepatch as a judgement.

Yes it is good for CD reduction for Outlaw and Sub but after that the benefits are slim to none.
At that point the payoff isn’t that good from an observational glance, but I guess for min max that is why the sims will make that final determination.
In terms of feel and game play change it is noticeable but not by that much.
