I can’t find anything that say specifically Elemental shaman should equip one vs the other, but I thought I would ask here and see if anyone has insight on which might be better.
The general thought is whatever works best. You ate going to get anout the same amount of stats from them and a 2h will be 3asier to upgrade as far as ilvl goes. You do have to deal with being a shaman with a staff though.

For PvE, doesn’t matter in the slightest. Whatever drops that has more ilvl/better stats. For PvP you’d obviously prefer a shield for the tankiness.

Yeah doesn’t really matter but I prefer shield for looks and extra armor

The only thing that matters is stats that you need. Generally speaking, weapon and shield if you’re going to mess around in PvP for your defense. Given how PvP plays, it doesn’t matter but just feels better that way.
