I take it blizzcon is only for people in the 6-figure income bracket now? We’re not all silicon valley techbros who take 200+ dollar tickets to conferences on the regular. Get a grip.
Why would you even want to go anyways? From what i’ve seen on youtube, it’s not a good time.
the best blizzcon show of all time along with tenacious Ds performance and wow at full peak was 150 dollars
2010
First it’s been 4 years since last one and economy has tanked since then. How are you not possibly seeing the news of rising costs the insane inflation rate, gas prices etc? Turn on any legit news program they are bound to talk about it.
Besides that I thought blizzcon tickets were always pricey .
On the plus the live stream is free to all this time
Save your money and skip the sweaty orc-fest.
another money grab corporations want to use because of the fake inflation from the pandemic
I don’t imagine there’ll be any shortage of people who’ll still pay it so that’s why they do it, unfortunately.
I would love to go but 200 a ticket, plus 200 a night in a hotel, plus 400-600 for a flight maybe a little less to drive and burning vacation days for it. That’s easy 1000 bucks for something that does absolutely nothing for me.
I’ve never thought it was a great idea to purchase tickets and go.
Don’t they hand out ‘swag bags’ to the attendees? Supposedly, there are some collectables included. Then again, that may only have been in past Blizzcons.
Personally, I would just go to Disneyland but I am not usually eager to go to concerts or conventions.
bro bro… for 299 you can get 41 big macs.
burger con > blizzcon.
That’s kind of disgusting.
So is that price.
Just like games that charge more for a release to let the player play a few days early. It’s free money. It’s the same thing with these tickets they know people will buy them even if they’re “overpriced”. If you think they’re pricey then you’re clearly not the target audience. That’s just the reality.
I love wow but never really had an interest in going to blizzcon idk
Then don’t pay it. You don’t need to make crude sexual jokes to say you don’t want to pay that price.
I’m not going to pay that price either. I don’t go to Blizzcon, or any Cons for that matter.
If they sell out, then the ticket price is neither insane nor out of touch with reality. If you can’t afford it, you’re not the target demographic.
All ticket prices are out of touch.
Have you seen what an average concert ticket goes for? And that is for maybe 3 hours.
But people are willing to pay.
I used to go every single year. $300 isn’t a lot of money for a once-a-year thing; a family dinner at a really nice restaurant can cost almost as much.
But I don’t go anymore. I remember vividly the time I was sitting there watching a class discussion panel with Ghostcrawler & co., and when I thought, “Why am I paying all this money to sit here and have them lie to me?”
