Most of the tier 3 sets weren’t great, but some of y’all will just get pulled along by any old string, I suppose.
It’s 2.8 mil vendor cost. That doesn’t cover the “tip” and other costs needed to craft.
So doesn’t matter if you’re first or last. The vendor price won’t change.
Definitely a tad steep.
or i could not do that and time sink failed. farming gold isnt fun. most of my gold comes from boes that drop in raid and i sell them. farming gold is as boring to me as leveling. this failure of a time sink would have worked out better if they gave t3 a hd update
I probably paid around 2mil+ for mine. 500k for chest, 600 for helm, 700 for shoulders, 600 for pants. Y’all really just want free t3 lol
You never know, it might. They really need to knock off a 0 for 200g a pop. 280k gold is far more reasonable.
My Hunter T3 costed me around 250k. And T3 and Naxx 40 should never have been removed.
Good thing you can still go on the bmah and buy the tier for cheap. Hunter set isn’t really that popular or cool looking (popular opinion), so it always is cheap on the bmah compared to rogue, druid, mage, ect ect. Ive seen dreadknaught shoulders go for 1 mil+ alone, often times more. My friend bought his for 3.5mil lol.
In cases like this, the 2.8 mil gold might be the cheaper route.
As for naxx and t3 being removed there’s nothing that can be done about it now. Things like this also have to do with the fomo nature of the game, the core game itself needs to change. T3 is no different than elite sets, titles or whatever.
it’s all optional
While the 2.8m price tag is absurd, I think the truly egregious part of this is the Feat of Strength requirement to even get the crafting recipes. Pretty much killed my already low interest in grinding this out.
Well since we can cross-realm trade now (except for the work orders for the Undeath Metal etc for T3, if you are on Whisperwind/Dentarg) tip whatever and I’ll make it for you if I have the recipie.
They had to somehow put in a gold sink comparable to the bfa one to try and restore gold’s value somewhat at least anyway, so it probably came handy that it was anyway demanded to make it hard to obtain.
they don’t want it free! they just want to get it for doing a simply daily quest like four times!
How do you even get recipes for these items? It says Discovery: Naxxramas for the cloth shoulders. Do I just go clear it and hope it drops? Or what
Have to unlock a vendor in naxx, then pay 12 Death Bargin for a item that RNG gives a recipie.
It’s so stupid that they force us to have T3 before we can craft T3.
All because of a select few “muh ekslusivity pixels” whining about not feeling special anymore.
No one cares really about the cost - what everyone cares about is the cost for a class locked item with so many hoops to jump through.
It is was a high priced item that you can easily buy after accessing - then a lot of the outrage would be mitigated.
idk, seems like ~10 wow tokens. almost a steal compared to the Long Boi.
You’re going to have to elaborate on that.
It’s partly luck, I got most of the mage set for about 10k a piece
You first have to do a bunch of hoops and quests to unlock access to Old Naxxaramas to then have access to a vendor who sells recipes. The kicker for this, though, is that the recipes to make the T3 items requires you to have the Feat of Strength - Drop Dead Gorgeous. Which means you already have a complete set of T3 unlocked in your collections.
wowhead wrote up a guide for it all:
This is incredibly stupid then. Oh well. I guess I’m just going to sell some runes and be done with it.
