2.8 Million Gold Per T3 Set! Absurd Pricing! Predatory!

Phylacterweave (BoP by the way, do not buy on a character that already has a full T3 set) which is required to cleanse Desecrated items for T3 gear costs 2000 gold each. You need 1400 for a full T3 set meaning it will cost you 2.8 million gold PER set.

This is absolutely ridiculous and absurd pricing! As is now it will be far cheaper to buy off the BMAH because for most pieces you can get for 10-100k.

This would be far less absurd if each piece costed only 200g (looking at 280k pet full T3 set) and much more in reach for most players.

This is absolutely disgraceful if the only way to obtain Phylacterweave is to pay 2000 gold each.

EDIT: Got 1 Phylacterweave from buying a Dented Raider’s Helmet which cost 3 Death’s Bargaining Chip (You get 5 for turning in 5 Corruptors scourgestones). So it will be an extremely long grind assuming this is the only other way to get the Phylacterweave.

EDIT 2: The Dented Raider’s items are not guaranteed to give you Phylacterweave, they can also drop greens instead.

EDIT 3: My possible solutions to the problem, only 1 needs to be done.

  1. Change Phylacterweave to cost 200g
  2. Reduce the Phylacterweave by a factor of 10. So 7 for bracers instead of 70.
  3. Make Phylacterweave more readily available (maybe 3-5 pieces a boss) AND Bind on Account instead of a approx 5% drop chance from dented items.

Waking up Zackett Skullsmash gives you a free desecrated bracer of your choice. Still work in progress figuring it out. I will edit my OP when I uncover more.

To be fair, aside from a few pieces, most sell for 10k-100k gold… I got my full T3 hunter for 250k ish gold. Druid for 130k. As well as many other players also getting them for cheap.

Also 280k raw gold seems reasonable (thats about 1 WoW token currently) while 2.8 mil seems predatory.

Oh yeah I got the important pieces of the druid set and sham set back in WoD for barely 100k each set

I just find it funny that people were expecting these to be handouts and laughing at others that spent gold on these.

WoD and Legion also were printing out gold like crazy with mission tables. Current prices for them have been at min or barely hitting 6 figures per piece.

Still 2.8 mill is absurd. For all 9 sets you will need 25.2 million gold and that is just predatory.

People can still get them from BMAH for cheaper prices, so I think it’s fair. Blizz could’ve also just never added this as an option.

And let’s be honest, you can just buy the pieces no one wants from the bmah like bracers for 10k and get the hard pieces like dreadnaught helm/shoulders from this

The sad thing is, like the Brutasor mount (aka AH mount) people are going to buy WoW tokens for the raw gold.

And Naxx 40 should never have been removed in the first place.

probably way cheaper to buy a transfer to a dead realm while the piece they want is up than to spend 2.8 million on this.
