2700 exp prot pally lf 3s team

I am a first time glad this season playing prot pally in 3s. Easily cleared 2400 and got stuck around 2600-2700 mmr with the team I was with.

Looking for a team to hopefully be able to get above 2700 and possibly r1 for next season and the end of this season.

I played survival / prot pally / disc priest to 2600-2700. I am looking for any viable comp for example:
prot / feral / x
Prot / hunt / x
Prot / enhance or ele / x
Prot / dk / x
any other viable comp

Lol please people, just don’t be ignorant. There are ways to play against and be successful. Yes they are good against a lot of stuff on meta like mages and rouge’s but you know, if you actually play against them well you can still win but they do counter those two classes.

You can play against them and do well if you actually understand them and actually play to their weaknesses. If you don’t then they punish you.

It has to do with the fact that you’re playing a tank spec, not so much that’s it’s a broken one.

The thing is, it isn’t any different than dampening comps like spriest boomy rsham or similar ones like that. Those literally dont do anything other than damage you out and try for games of attrition

Cool and everyone hates them too?

Prot pallies aren’t broken. If they were there would be prot pallies played instead of rets at high level play.

There are many ways to actually play against and counter them. But people don’t learn them to actually do so. Because of this prot pallies get higher rating than what they normally would if they were more popular. They aren’t op now, they were almost to the point of too strong but not op in 8.0 because of healing which is recently nerfed.

Yeah your correct in this statement. It’s always more difficult for people to play against a spec they don’t frequently play against. I’ve found most games against them this season aren’t to difficult if you avoid getting letting it get to dampening and killing the prot with a good setup.

It’s frustrating playing against them because their off-heals are strong, but what you lose in dps by not playing Ret you gain in team defensives. It’s a fair trade IMO.
