Goodbye… and don’t bother hanging around to chat, as this is a forum for those who play wow. Have fun paying to win or to even be able to repair your gear in some other mmorpg.
I felt like I’ve read this statement in GD at least a 1000 times
Really? Because of a convenience like flying you are quitting. Oh and because a game that was moved over to The classic games department like half a year ago is getting some new interest, time and money thrown at it?
To each his own but I personally agree with all the reasons for Pathfinder. And I really don’t get the whole being ticked about Diablo Immortal. Do people seriously believe that Immortal is the future of Diablo? No, Immortal is a common sense move into a growing gaming segment and while it makes Blizzard a ton of money it will also drum up more interest in the franchise as a whole. So more money and more interest is good but so many people are acting like they got their dog kicked. Don’t get me wrong, I was at Blizzcon and the people were let down in a way but if they had thrown up at the end of it a huge DIABLO 4 people would have gone ape and also would have embraced the mobile game. It was just poorly introduced imho. But make no mistake that Immortal is going to make Blizz a truckload of money and spark up more buzz around D4. Just my two cents.
Pathfinder complaint rofl! I could put out a list of reasons I unsubbed and not one of them would be pathfinder. Damn you are lazy!
Are you even playing the current expansion? The WoW dev team isn’t doing any better, and the supposed fixes in 8.1 don’t fix any problems, they just created new ones, in regards to class design. And they just doubling down on the azerite garbage.
I don’t get why flying mounts makes garbage content better.
I’m over in FFXIV at the moment; contrary to what you white knights seem to believe, there are other MMO’s out there with developers who actually care about creating a good experience for their customers. Unlike the current dev team at Blizzard.
They don’t. But they make the intolerable a little more tolerable.
You’re still harping on the blizzcon garbage? Really? This is all your “point” boils down to huh… sad.
No, restricting flying is not meant to allow them to tell a more engaging story. That is a line of propaganda.
Restricting flying is meant to make it take you longer to do things in game, thus increasing their “time played” metric which is what they now use to measure their success since sub numbers have gone in the tank.
I feel ya.
Blizzard is losing good players.
Blizzard is designing gaming to the middle. I recommend true gamers vote with $$ and go play other games.
28 days for me. Going to try FFXIV for a while. Will check back here when 8.2 comes out to see if there have been any significant improvements.
You play the game don’t you? The requirements for pathfinder you get automatically because you play the game i.e reputation, exploration, etc…So why is pathfinder quit worthy? The gating? You can’t fly from point to point to make the game easier for what 5 or 6 months so you’re mad? I don’t think I will ever understand.
The gating and the pathfinder requirements. Some people don’t like rep grinding. Some people don’t like doing all the quests. Some people don’t like to explore all the map. None of that was required to get flying with gold in the past.
The devs are in the same boat. They might never understand either. That’s why people keep quitting. A lot of players are invested, loyal, etc. But those things are no guarantee people will continue playing if you keep alienating them with things they don’t like. Pathfinder is a thing a lot of people don’t like, oh they like the reward it gives, but the long wait and the static requirements aren’t fun for a lot of people.
#PathfinderSucks
Meh I dont like it either but I dont boil in rage at it like some people do. Its just more of an inconvenience. I liked MoPs system. You only get it when your character is max level. That seemed better.
They specifically told people to curb their enthusiasm before Blizcon… While I agree that it was not the right platform to announce Diablo Mobile I think your reaction to that may be “a tad” over blown.
That is a lie.
Pathfinder only happens “naturally” if you happen to be someone who, of your own volition, would do each and every single chore on the Pathfinder list.
Otherwise, no.
SO tired of hearing this ridiculous meme. If it were true, no one playing would complain because, hey, they would just auto-complete Pathfinder.
Stop with this nonsense already.
The devs got boo’d at Blizzcon. Social media down voted Blizz into the abyss.
The reaction to Blizzard pulling devs off PC projects in favor of mobile projects was overwhelmingly negative. A once huge fan base has turned on Blizzard because Blizzard clearly lives in a bubble and no longer has a tangible connection with their core player base.
While they supposedly work on better communication and say that change doesn’t happen overnight they are hemorrhaging loyal customers. The time for drastic change within Blizzard is long overdue.
