It gives incentive for more things to do besides raid log. Took me a while to get enough gold for the epic helm but I went to grinding and about 80 gold later I could afford and smith it. It was very satisfying and I felt accomplished and I’m also one of the few who has it this early. It wouldn’t be nearly as cool if every blacksmither also had it already
It does, not going to lie. But so does GDKP. We’ve already discussed this.
Blizzard is their own worst enemy by adding gold sinks like this after banning GDKP.
Again, visibly less bots. Bots in contested areas get reported all the time. You would know this if you ever left a major city to farm instead of spending other people’s swiped gold.
Blizz did say trading Era gold for TBC/WotLK was okay when the coin dropped. I havent heard anything about SoD otherwise, but it seems the rules are usually exclusionary if stated and elsewise acceptable. So it seems like it may technically be okay, but you can probably get burned for it since youd get a bunch or gold via mail or trade.
I dont have a toon to do it personally, but it seems this method of acquiring gold may be within TOS? Is there something posted about trading gold better seasons and game types?
No, they didn’t. They said it’s not illegal. It’s always been “unsupported.” Which means if you get scammed or receive illicit gold, it’s on you.
Yes. Its called an “unsupported” trade. If you get scammed, they will not help you. If you receive illicit gold they will ban you. Use at your own risk.
Such an old, tired argument. It’s really not the “gotcha” you swipers and swipers adjacent think it is.
It is when you know it’s probably swiped and just don’t care. I don’t have a choice but to use the AH. You have a choice to not participate in the laundering of that swiped gold and you just don’t care.
Everything you do inthis game is either farmed by bots or bought with a percentage of swiped gold.
You’re blaming it on the players because you’re a blizzard shill.
Instead of holding the multi-dollar company responsible to police their own game you pass it to the players as if it’s somehow my responsibility to police where everybody’s gold comes from.
And then you have the nerve to sit here and pretend like your hands are clean because you’re using the auction house.
Those consumables you’re saying are nice and cheap you’re buying them off Bots.
Lol the mental gymnastics here. These ideas aren’t mutually exclusive.
I can hold them responsible, and still not knowingly participate in method of laundering that I can easily avoid. Its near impossible to avoid the AH unless you farm all your own stuff. You can EASILY avoid GDKP and receiving swiped/stolen gold. But you cope and seeth and use these lame excuses to justify your bad habits.
Yeah. Because it’s a supported transaction based on the ToS. It’s also the only method of getting goods outside a single character’s professions. Again, the mental gymnastics you’re using right now are WILD.
It comes down to choice and availability. I choose to only use approved methods, knowing that if I vary outside of those lanes I’m actively contributing to RMT. You, choose to vary outside those lanes because you don’t care, and then you use “get gud blizz” as a cop out.
