25% more primary stat = 25% more damage?

how much more damage is 25% primary stat? “increases the magnitude of your abilities”

No, and since we already have 300 main stat on it we are only getting 1300 more, It’s roughly the equivalent to the main stat badge currently gives.

Roughly 12-15% ability damage, which doesn’t mean overall damage as all abilities don’t scale the same.

Edit: well they changed it to % primary stat so not sure how much we actually get atm. We’ll be getting roughly 1600 more main stat still (over what we have now)

why do we need more damage in a bursty meta though?

because it’s becoming significantly less bursty.

They nerfed most tier sets already, crit damage is being lowered to 150%, our HP shot up significantly (100k+)

If they don’t add damage back nothing dies, which is also bad.

You can literally miss one key and die in 0.5 seconds in this game. the time to react has trended down in the last few years after BFA dampening games.

that’s become less so as we’ve gotten closer to the end of the season, and again, season2 changes significantly slow down the pace even more. The increased main stat isn’t enough of an increase to change that.

It’s going to be slower in season2.

Perhaps it is simply time for a break my well-intentioned and classic enjoying friend.

Yeah, and that’s probably a good thing for most people.

Wouldn’t it technically be considerably more when you take multipliers and crit into account?

Its slow on the PTR. Its fast currently but on PTR HP pools are going up 25% with crit modifier going down from 175% to 150%.

Only times we complain about long games are watching top players stream. When even the top players are dying before they can pop defensives or dying through then what hope do the rest of us have.

It didn’t actually. Since they’re nerfing stam from trinkets, my HP only went up about 45k. Maybe others benefit from this more since I’m a misty.

I kinda doubt it’s going to slow down tbh. Probably going to break even, but we’ll see.

Again, this is a mirage due to 2.4k stam being removed from the trinket bonus.

we are going to have around 650k hp with sta buff in season2, more so for specs that have increased HP.

Think we had like 490k~ in season2 gear on ptr before the change, have 600k non buffed on my monk.

Fights were considerably slower on ptr, It’s not going to be BFA levels of slow of course, but its far slower than the early days of season1.

It’s not just the HP change, it’s the culmination of a lot of changes. Massively boosted our hp, which is what they did around the end of beta and it worked until broken tier sets came into play, Crit damage nerf on top followed by already universally nerfing like every season2 tier set by 50% effectiveness in pvp.

It was slow enough for them to actually step in and change how much of an increase trinket bonus gave to healers heals.

Yeahhh they changed it since I last looked. Good to know. Guess we’ll see how it all plays out.

I feel like people are really underestimating the 1300 primary stat buff in terms of how much more dmg we will be doing. For example, on my ret pally that has 422 pvp gear, my judgement’s tooltip shows 13,766 and justicar’s vengeance shows 20,641. When sopic devotion procs giving 932 primary stat, they increase to 20,118 for judgement and 31,635 for jv.

And that’s with 932 str and the trinket bonus will be adding an additional 368 than sophic devotion.

I have a 1 year sub might as well use the forums. I dont play classic currently never even made it to 80.

“Relax,” said the night man. “We are programmed to receive. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave!” :musical_note:

They need to nerf healing as well, it’s been out of control since TBC.
Vanilla had proper healing.

Of course they have to nerf healers :frowning:
