Maybe use some “of the eagle” gear… lol Thats why I value stam on my mage over anything else. If frost was good fighting shams would be easier.
Its not a surge proc. A surge proc guarantees an instant cast. The tier bonus is saying I first have to crit with a LB…then I have a 35% chance to proc an instant cast. I guarantee you this isnt going to be a problem in PvP. You are going to see it mostly popping up PvE scenarios where I am just hard casting LBs on a boss. Not when I am getting full spell push back and/or chance to get silenced or stunned in PvP.

I wouldn’t be complaining if I wasn’t wearing as much stamina pvp gear I could get.
That is part of the issue… the health pools are so low for the big numbers all the way around. In most cases cloths are terrible health pools cuz their gear hardly has any. On my boomkin I have 2.7k health… My lv39 War has 3.2k. LOL
My Shaman health is 3.4k.
so ele never once in team fight when everything is on CD ever presses lightning bolt?
I know it isn’t a surge proc but it gives essentially the same effect as a surge proc (as well as riptide ticks now!)
again as I said, P4 ele still overtuned, they didn’t nerf FS spread and gave you an AoE root, more FS damage, and faster CL CD. the tier set is just icing

i will say though , if they have enough time to get off lightning bolt casts and everything else is on cooldown , you probably lost that fight like 10x over.
it doesnt happen effectively probably even 5% of the time i would wager to guess.
theres just simply no room in most engagements for someone to be casting lightning bolt.
No it doesnt, thats the thing. It has a 35% chance to get a surge proc…after I crit, which is also not 100%. Crit is more like 25% with good gear.
So a 25% chance to get a 35% chance proc. It is completely different than surge.
We have no way to test if P4 ele is overtuned in PvP. The bgs do not pop and duels are a garbage method for testing. Any class/spec can beat another 1v1 in a duel provided they are better.
And Xtra already said it, but LB is basically my last go to as an ele shaman. It has the slowest cast time and the second I rip off 1-2 LBs people are already on me.

ya but effectively nobody will use it in pvp.
there are almost always other things to be casting as ele and is last last resort nearly always.
Its not semantics…its simple math. You are acting like its a 100% chance if I can get 1-2 LBs off. Its literally rng…on top of rng. The only time you are going to see it actually work is when I am allowed to just hard cast multiple LBs…aka bosses in PvE.

Play a shaman in p3 and you will see it is literally miles ahead of anything else. Im letting this sub run out and re lvling horde on my alliance server because it seems it wont change for P4.
Anyone claiming shaman arent the strongest by a long margin just havnt BGd as anything else. It honestly feels like a solo rpg where you the player are vsing random npcs in bgs. It has ruined pvp last 2 phases and i dont see sod recovering to what it was.
Anyone bging at this point and thinking any type of rank matters will be laughed at in the future. Oh you got r14 on sod? The version no one played?
plz show me where I ever implied that, I never said the same thing about surge procs either.
let me simplify my point: do you think giving ele shamans another potential source of instant lava burst/chain lightning is a good idea for P4 when they already get surge procs from dotting 5 dudes in one global AND riptide now?

funny. i know for a fact that my shadow priest is always more kb and damage than my way better geared enhancement shaman . the lock i dont really like to play so i dont have as much experience with it now.

No way, your range toon has more kbs than your melee toon. In a range meta. No way.
Enhance is still the most busted melee spec by a long mile.
You only say shadow > ele because you dont play ele / vs them in bgs
You are a creating a scenario where I can get all 5 FSs up, be spamming riptide (which has a 6s CD btw so you cant spam it, and even then each cast is still 5% chance), and be hard casting multiple lightning bolts.
Are we just completely ignoring the shaman at this point?
