Is Classic going to support 240Hz? I really, really hope so.
Refresh rate as far as I know is limited only by your monitor and graphical adaptor.
I think the real question is will it support ultra widescreen monitors?
High refresh rates can affect how the game actually renders things from my understanding and can break some games.
Since its using the live client as its base I would assume so.
Did it support it in 2004? If not, #nochanges.
It does, I was on the stress test and it ran fine on my monitor.
No changes
I mean you can do it but Classic WoW on 240hz isn’t going to look any different than your standard 144hz these days. Will look sharper than the 60hz that was common for the time though for sure.
CRTs were more common at release, and many went much higher than 60hz. I ran it at 85 on release day, then later 120. Actual frame rate will of course be lower in many cases.
Your mouse is only allowed two buttons and a scroll wheel or 3 buttons. Any more and it’s not like vanilla! CRT monitors for life!
can you even see 240hz?
Sorry im using my naga
Blasphemy! #NoChanges! You will have an unfair advantage over people who want to play the correct and only way!
Hmm, I am pretty sure I was on at least my second optical mouse with back, forward, a scroll wheel, and a third button in the scroll wheel by that point. I am pretty sure I had one made by Microsoft before we even closed out the last century.
By the time of wow, I am pretty sure you could buy a mouse with some volume of buttons if you desired.
Sums up the classic forums nicely hahaha
Settle down angry mob. im for no changes too. hahah
Look at Mr. Moneybags over here making WoW pay to win.
My frames were pinned at 100 during the stress test. I have a 144hz monitor so there is probably an internal lock on frames at 100. Therefor a 240hz monitor would be wasted money. Might be worth it for other games coming out in the future, but definitely not this game!
Moving the mouse quickly I can still see each cursor image at 240hz, there are four times as many as at 60.
My graphics card cannot reliably run wow at that though.
75Hz + G-sync is all I need.
#notearing
It will. Because the base system is the modern WOW client which does. In the reference 1.12 client though it would not.
