I’ve stupidly never left my dad’s battle.net account after all these years - I think I could’ve moved off years ago.. but whatever. My dad and I both purchased the beta on our separate WoW accounts, but on the same battle.net account. It doesn’t select which account and just launches. So my dad signed me out, and vice versa. This is for the WoW Forever beta that it’s not working
Is there a known workaround for this? I purchased licenses for me and my kids and am running into the same problem. I only see the WoW1 option which makes me think its only letting me run on one of my accounts even though they have all been upgraded. I am tried everything suggested by chat ai as a workaround or fix but nothing is working.
Same issue me and my son are having. If anyone gets any information on how to fix this please post here.
I opened a ticket.
Since several of us are having this issue, I do not believe we will be able to fix it on our end.
Best of luck.
Let me know if you guys hear anything? there is a post on the other forum stating that their accounts aren’t showing up either, so I think the option to log into other subaccounts should be there but isn’t for some reason. Stinks but its probably just an opening day bug. Hopefully it’s fixed soon.
Yeah, I bought the beta but our whole family is on subaccounts. We have 6 subaccounts and it lists 2. Wow1 which is one that only one son used once and has never touched again (the least used of all our accounts) and Wow7 (which doesn’t exist). Somehow it displays the least used and a non existent. I’m hoping they fix as I don’t want to lock in to one of these.
Add another, we have several accounts under one battle.net account and I bought two betas, one for me and one for my wife, both of our computers log into my account with no obvious way to switch account.
Yes same issue, posed on the general discussion thread. Have WoW1 and WoW3, an inactive and Starter Edition account that are unused.
Is everyone here from OG Vanilla with named accounts? My main isn’t a “WoW” account but named before bnet became mandatory. Is that the connection? Or is it what someone said that they phase invited us, and only those who got access got an email? TBH, I didn’t outside of my receipt.
My day one account has a name, and i have a wow2 and a wow3 that came from movie promotions back in the day that I have not touched in years
edit correction. i looked and and they are wow2 and 3
Also I think they just renamed the whole game ‘beta’ and are running the beta on the live servers…
I am having the same issue. An old account I don’t use (wow5) and wowPTR. My active account is being ignored. The one with the license. If you launch with the .exe and put in login info, the pulldown for accounts only shows “wow5”. Hope they sort it out soon.
We are vanilla accounts. I dunno. It’s annoying at best as well as frustrating. I wish we had some eta or acknowledgement at the very least.
Could be. My active account is “named”. Which is why I avoided naming previously. You might be on to something. Hope they look into it soon.
If that is the problem, it’s inconsistent. I have at least one guildmate that I know has a named account and has been playing all night. He bought access though.
Anyone got both accounts working yet? Still no information on this.
Our are still not showing access but only to 1 even though we bought access for each account. I wish they would address this issue since it seems to be a common one affecting many people with multiple accounts.
Same issue here, I’ve opened a ticket.
My son and I are having the same issue! PLEAASE FIX BLIZZARD I GAVE YOU MY MONEY <3
I got a ticket response. It told me to select the second account from the drop down menu, the very thing I said I was not able to do.
I re-submitted the ticket with screenshots.
Same problem, my grandson and I have linked licenses. I opened a ticket and said if they can’t fix it they need to refund one of our payments.
I’ve been looking into this, and I wonder if you can solve it by doing the following:
- Log in to your Account page: http://account.battle.net
- Go to the Games & Subscriptions section.
- Scroll down to Starter Editions & Public Test Regions.
- Click Create PTR Account and then confirm by clicking Create Account.
What I’m wondering is-- at that point when you log in, do you get a prompt for which one to use, allowing you to use the new one while Dad uses the original?
Not OP, but I have a WoW7/8 on my account as well as my WoW1/3 and my Vanilla account. For prior “PTR” I had to create a PTR account and the 7/8 appeared. After logging into server during login (before retrieving servers) it asks me to select WoW7/8, and both are working for me.
