Ascendant Voidshard Adjustments Incoming - May 13

Later in the day tomorrow, May 13, we intend to deploy hotfixes to adjust Ascendant Voidshard drop rates. Our goal with these changes is not to slow down acquisition rates overall, but to better align the value of Voidshards as a reward with the activities players are participating in.

After these changes go live, Ascendant Voidshards will drop at a 100% rate from:

  • Heroic and Mythic raid kills.
  • Mythic+ 10 or higher completions, with no cap.
  • Delve Tier 11 bountiful chests.
  • Nightmare Prey Champion gear boxes.

They will also drop slightly more often from Ritual Sites at Tier 5 difficulty.

In all other content not listed above, (e.g. Ritual Sites Tiers 1-4) the drop rates of Ascendant Voidshards will be reduced.

We will confirm here when the hotfixes go live tomorrow. Thank you!

Why do you guys continuously do garbage like this from the beginning and then hotfix it later to “get brownie points for listening to feedback”?

Can’t you just respect players from the start? How many times will this nonsense happen?

Why wasn’t this on the PTR??? Because you didn’t want to reveal the low initial droprate? Classic blizz and the reason they get and deserve SO MUCH flak every damn patch increment. Avoid communicating the dumb thing that will get everyone mad, instead of not doing the dumb thing.
