Our recent adjustments to Guardian have made the Elune’s Chosen build stronger than intended. We’re going to take steps to bring this back in line with realm restarts during scheduled weekly maintenance this week.

Thrash direct damage reduced by 25%.
Elune’s Favored now heals for 15% of Arcane damage dealt (was 25%).
Developers’ Notes: These changes aim to bring this build closer to its expected output: high-damage relative to other tanks, but not abnormally so.
We recognize that the build in question avoids the Apex talent. With this tuning, we’re choosing to not break the Elune’s Chosen build or require the Apex talent. We have further plans to update the Guardian Apex Talent in a future patch to give us more flexibility with it and alleviate some of the current pain points for Druids.
Glad to see you guys spent a ton of time on changes this expansion for all of them to end up busts. Apex talents for multiple classes now being included in that boat when these hotfixes go live Tuesday.
I’m glad the season integrity means legit nothing to Blizzard. Lets give people a week to push 2 key levels higher on a class that they had Grok balance and then reverse it, so that no one can push that high again, thanks blizzard appreciate AI’s work towards making our game fun.
Do you also recognize that the build doesn’t use it’s main Builder (Mangle) nor it’s main damage spender (Raze/Maul) and doesn’t even care much about Rage?

You guys should be embarrassed with the vibe coded crap you put out.
When Blizz announced apex talents, they specifically said that they wouldn’t be required. You may only put 1 or 2 points in. It’s up to you.
BUT when a spec doesn’t do the apex talents, they do everything in their power to force you into it. We’re lucky we don’t have to do it now, but it’s clear they’re gonna force it to happen next patch.
Let us play thrash moon bears rather than cramming more into incarn window. When was the last time anyone has taken convoke?
Also, stop trying to make maul/raze/whatever happen. Bears like having huge hp pools, hitting thrash and using iron fur. If blizzard wants to fix something, fix bear ability animations
Have you guys ever considered that if you made all tanks more powerful and let them be fun, the game might not have such a big tank shortage issue? Instead, you gave thousands of people who decided to try guardian druid just enough time to get to lvl 90 before destroying what they wanted to do with a huge nerf. That’s not how you fix your game - thats how you lose players.
I hope they take the best parts of the apex talents ( void shield is pretty sick for disc priests, spiritfont is thematically neat if it would work better, stormstream totem being a better HST on r sham, etc ) and just add them into the class tree for the last titan, then give us a few points to play with and TRY to get a few playstyles going at once.
I really wanted hero trees to be what defined alternative playstyle withing specs but it’s just not happening unfortunately they dont seem to want to go that route. Maybe it just needs time to cook but iunno, it feels like we are going backwards.
i would hope for something like that but it seems more often then not that they try to force peoples hands into a build for some reason. even with hero talents some get basically ignored completely while others are constantly adjusted.
So you’re nerfing the base bear spec tree because you couldn’t spend more than 5 minutes doing math to figure out that a 200% buff was going to be very strong for EC builds?
More specs than just bear are not using apex talents, which ironically you said wouldn’t be required to spec, yet you seem intent on forcing them.
I hope you actually bother to put some real time and effort into bear for the .1 patch and make the spec feel good the entire time you play it, with all its buttons……. we don’t want to only care about 2 ravages every 2 minutes or ONLY care about thrash spam. We want all our buttons to matter and for our spec to feel good and wanted all around.
