From decor storage to exterior lighting, Endeavors, exporting houses and more, we’re looking into the future of Housing and what you can expect from the launch of Midnight and beyond.
A lot of this sounds pretty promising, really hope the loadout feature works like transmogs do where I can just save my entire house template and then restart from scratch and build different themed houses for each of my alts I play and simply swap between them like I do transmogs on my character.
Very promising article. Love the fact we will be able to put down a good amount of the same pet. My bakaar can have an actual litter!
I’m pretty confident the Mechagon Jets were the most popular task and it had little to do with enjoyability.
Now that we’re seeing usage numbers, we plan to increase the maximum amount of decor storage by around 50% in the coming weeks.
No, this is waaaaaaaaaaay too little. 7500 is nothing. make it at least 20k or unlimited.
Ya… not a lot of substance there. Imo, we really need to hear about actual useful content for our houses.
Reason’s to use them.
Maximum Decor Storage - Now that we’re seeing usage numbers, we plan to increase the maximum amount of decor storage by around 50% in the coming weeks.
This it needs to happen this week, we can’t go into Midnight storage capped. It’s going to feel so bad.
Please let us move the entryway, or otherwise modify/change the room immediately attached to it. Export/Import will alleviate that a little bit, but that’s just a workaround.
I’d love to be able to pick a room and pick “change shape”.
I’d also love to be able to vertically stack two of the same room (not just stairwells). And, well, go downwards from the first floor into a basement. Please?
The exterior lighting solution is about the best they probably could have come up with, and I’m happy with it. Lighting calculations are already complex enough even prior to overlapping sources, so it makes sense to limit at this level when upwards of 55 plots in a neighborhood are going to be using them. And it’s not some arbitrary lighting budget, thankfully.
This is so needed, and the feedback on this has been given since before the first PTR housing test.
Sounds very exciting!! ![]()
Nah. you abandoned housing 1.0 aka garrisons. And since none of those features are here. This is most likely a 2.0 abandonment. We know 3.0 will be abandoned due to how you are still destroying professions.
This is all kinds of ouch.
Test the weird rotation bug as much as you need. Every day one of my wall partitions breaks through the wall and it’s driving me insane.
Love the notes though, especially the pet details. I hadn’t considered the possibility of placing more of a specific pet than I own, that’s a cool idea.
Definitely looking forward to loadout codes.
And also Forsaken style exteriors!
Oh hey, they finally mentioned the lost xp bug. That’s … something, I guess.
Layouts and pets, YES!
I do. So does my entire guild. You don’t speak for the entire playerbase.
Wow, look at all these people not caring.
Oh well.
Hey, Blizzard, really looking forward to saving and loading layouts. Very nice, but could you maybe fix… or at least acknowledge the folk dark interor wall/ceiling color bug?
i got a plot, put up 2 walls, got bored and never touched it again.
it’s like wildstar’s version just less fun and more limiting.
idk if additions can help it. we’ll see.
Is it randomly blood red? If so, that’s not a bug, that’s an improvement.
Also really looking forward to pets and stables.
A look ahead
