It’s been a long day of testing and fixing and we’re finally going live with the 12.0.0 Midnight Pre-Expansion Content Update.
During our final internal testing, we discovered an issue that could frequently cause saved transmog loadouts to be cleared, resulting in the loss of saved outfits and the gold spent on them. This issue resulted from a quirk of our live database configuration and never appeared in Beta, PTR, or other test environments, but it was an example of an issue that we have to keep realms offline for, and investigate and fix, before we could open the realms to the public.
We have a couple of other issues that we’re going live with, and working to fix as soon as possible:
Charter Neighborhoods weren’t able to start Endeavors properly, so Charter Neighborhoods will remain disabled until we can resolve this. Endeavors should work as expected for other kinds of neighborhoods.
Due to an unforseen issue with the item-level squish, some commodities in the Auction House (e.g. some profession materials) aren’t purchasable. We’ve got the issue identified and a fix on the way in the next day or so.
We’re aware of and working on a fix for a bug where applying a Faction Change to a character can result in broken transmog.
We thank you for your patience, and are excited to welcome you into the Midnight pre-expansion update!
Why couldn’t something have been said while we’re all waiting and pissed off? I’m not blaming you, I’m blaming the morons in charge with their poor communication skills. It would have cooled off a lot of angry people.
I have to laugh at this because when has the stat squish ever not caused major issues? How can you call it unforeseen at this point? It’s just something we continue to be forced to deal with because of your insistence on an unchecked vertical progression put in place to force endless grinding and cover up the lack of real content…
