Please reconsider your stance on retail/classic reward linking

Imagine if you will that your guild has been doing well and then the aq event has just ended. And you lose 1/4 of your guild.

Or you kill KT and get your main tank his final item and poof he’s gone and now we need to replace him.
We just traded a fully geared and experienced tank for someone with neither.

Those sound EXACTLY like Vanilla experiences to me. Just saying.

I would try to seperate in your mind retail and classic. Something you buy on retail shouldn’t give you something in Classic, or vice versa.

Surprised no one has said this, but this statement currently as far as we know is false. Unless stated otherwise, I can buy a token in retail, and play both retail and classic from that game token. I know this isn’t precisely what you’re talking about when using items in game, but token purchases in retail are going to have an effect on Classic.

Eh that’s not really the same thing but I get your point. I’d argue that they’re still not connected even with that. Just having a subscription allows you to play the game. It doesn’t get you anything past that.

If things were sold like pets or mounts then you could make that argument, but I don’t think it has any merit when you’re just talking about the sub.

I’m guessing this is in place to get people to spend time on live game. And they’ll have to have latest PAC there to actually make the gold to purchase the token in a timely manner.
Personally my time is more value than to do this, and I don’t enjoy playing the modern wow.

While they did not say “NO” and said they would pass along the question to the devs, the overall tone of that post seems to be indicate that CE pets would not be linked between retail and Classic.

This also could be an exception where we somehow grant them for original CE owners. No idea. Interesting thing to think about though. I’ll mention it though that you guys are asking about the original CE pets for original CE owners.

If Murky was not an account wide flag, unlike the CE pets, then it would seem that Starman really is sliding that slippery slope he wants to claim does not exist.
