Player Housing is finally here and with it, come lots of questions! We’re here to try and answer as many of those questions as we can. This thread will serve as a living document to provide answers to commonly asked questions and evolve as new features are added to Player Housing, or more questions arise from the community.

Decor is what you use to decorate your character’s house. It comes from almost anywhere in World of Warcraft! This includes, but isn’t limited to, Questing, Dungeons and Raids, Achievements, and Neighborhood Vendors.
You can check out WoWDB’s Housing Hub to browse Decor, or you can find an Addon from the community to help you learn how to obtain Decor.

How does decorating work?

You can choose Decor from your collection and place it in and outside of your house as you deem fit! You can choose to use either Basic or Advanced Customization to help fine-tune your Decor.

I purchased the wrong Decor, can I refund it?

Common Decor purchased with gold is non-refundable, Uncommon and higher Decor can be refunded while it has a refund timer. For example, if you purchase 50 of the same Common bench, you now own 50 of the same Common bench to place around your House.

I bought this piece of Decor, why can I only place one of them?

You would have to purchase multiple of the same pieces of Decor in order to place more than one of them. For example, if you want to place four of the same chairs, you would need to purchase four of the same chairs.

I placed Decor, but now I can’t reach it! How do I get it back/move it?

You can find all Decor placed around your house and remove them manually. To do this, open the House Editor and activate Advanced Mode. Then open the Placed Decor List in the top right of your screen.

I bought the Epic Edition of Midnight, can I buy more of the Decor that came with it?

Yes! You can purchase more of these from the appropriate NPC’s when Midnight launches.

Blueprints

How do I save a Blueprint?

You’ll first open the House Editor and select the Blueprint option at the top of the screen. Here, you can choose to save your full layout, interior, exterior, or current room. Once saved, the Blueprint is added to your collection and can later be found through Saved Blueprints in your House Chest whenever you want to swap to it, or through your House Dashboard (H) in its own tab.

How do I share a Blueprint?

From the Blueprints tab you can use the Share in Chat or Copy to Clipboard feature, and can then send the Blueprint to other players.

How do I use a Blueprint?

Copy the Blueprint code that you want to use into the import window and review the required rooms, decor, budget and missing items before importing.

How many Blueprints can I save?

You can save up to 50 Blueprint layouts, with 10 additional auto-save slots. (Auto-saves are created when you import a Blueprint.)

Pets

Where do I get a Pet Bed?

Pet Beds can be purchased from Perry Winkles in Founder’s Point and Agratha in Razorwind Shores, found in houses near the quest hub in your Neighborhood.

How do I use a Pet Bed?

Place the Bed using the House Editor, then assign a non-combat pet to it using the Customize mode. Once you exit the Editor, you’ll see your pet interacting with your home or outdoor space.

How many Pet Beds can I place?

You can place up to 100 Pet Beds indoors and 25 Pet Beds outdoors. Indoor pets can be Stationary or Roaming, while outdoor pets are Stationary.

Neighborhoods

What’s the difference between Neighborhoods?

Public Neighborhoods are automatically created and maintained. These allow anyone from your server community to purchase a plot. Endeavors are automatically chosen for Public Neighborhoods.
Private Neighborhoods are created by players (guilds or friends) and have restrictions on who can purchase a plot of land. Private Neighborhoods have a Neighborhood Manager who chooses the Endeavor for the Neighborhood.

How do I create a Private Neighborhood?

You’ll need to talk to the Steward next to the Bulletin Board in any Neighborhood, or find one by the Neighborhood Portals in Stormwind and Orgrimmar, and choose “I’m interested in founding my own Neighborhood.”
- Charter Neighborhoods require 10 signatures.
- Guild Neighborhoods require 10 active accounts.

Can we rename our Neighborhood?

You can purchase a Neighborhood Renaming Permit from the Neighborhood Steward.

Guilds

If someone is kicked from the guild, are they removed from the Neighborhood?

Removing someone from your guild does evict them from the Neighborhood.

What happens to the Neighborhood if Guild Leadership is transferred?

Neighborhood ownership and Guild Leadership are independent. A Guild Leader can transfer Guild Leadership while still retaining ownership of the Neighborhood.
In addition, a Guild Leader can transfer ownership of the Neighborhood while still retaining Leadership of the Guild.

Why am I getting an error when creating my Guild Neighborhood?

If you are receiving the error “Something went wrong when creating the Neighborhood,” or “Invalid Guild” you need at least 10 unique WoW accounts, recently active, in the Guild, to qualify for Guild Neighborhood creation.

Endeavors

How do Endeavors work, and what are the rewards?

Endeavors work by completing Tasks to earn Neighborhood Favor towards a progress bar! Decor items are unlocked as Milestones are met and can be purchased with Community Coupons. Other rewards include Gold, Experience, and more. Wowhead has a guide with Endeavor Initiatives and Decor Rewards here.

How can I choose the Endeavor that I want?

Only Guild Leaders and Neighborhood Managers can choose Endeavors for their Neighborhoods.

Our Neighborhood Manager chose the wrong Endeavor, can we change it?

Once an Endeavor is chosen, it cannot be changed or abandoned.

I’m completing Endeavor tasks, why am I not earning anymore House XP?

You can earn up to 2,250 House XP per Endeavor. You can still earn rewards from completing Endeavor Tasks, such as Endeavor Progress and Community Coupons but you will not earn House XP once you reach the limit.

Do Endeavor Tasks reset daily or weekly, like killing bosses?

Endeavor Tasks do not reset, but many Tasks are repeatable and will show how many times you have completed them in the Task tracker. The largest rewards come from the first time a Task is completed. Rewards for repeating Tasks will have diminishing returns. (note: currently the tool tip does not indicate the diminishing return on rewards earned from repeated Tasks, this is a known issue)

Reports and Appeals

How do I report inappropriate content?

Inappropriate Neighborhood names can be reported via the Bulletin Board in your Neighborhood.

I received an action, how do I appeal?

You will need to visit the Account Restrictions page to see if you are eligible to appeal.

What happens if my House is actioned?

Any actions taken against an account for inappropriate content will result in a reset of the entire house (both yard and interior) as well as potential account suspension up to and including permanent account closure.
