Recently in MoP Classic, various raid and dungeon enemy encounters from previous expansions stopped dropping gold when killed. This was unintentional, and we tracked down the bug and developed a fix for it.
The hotfix to restore gold drop behavior in instances from previous expansions went out to all realms about 10 hours ago.
It looks like the affected encounters are once again dropping correct amounts of gold. Thank you to those who reported the bug!
Just spent the past few hours doing old TBC raids for gold and I had a blast, I do this every week but these old raids just have that good feeling. Thanks for making it worth the time outside of mogs.
So why did your senior test analyst say it was intentional? By the way, you forgot to “fix” the epic gem vendor prices, they still vendor for 20s instead of 5g.
I mean…..one of your senior QA analysts said it was intended and then immediately walked it back because of the backlash and now youre throwing her under the bus saying it was a bug and never intended.
So my question is why, for such a small team, none of you ever communicate with each other?
Awesome! Any updates on the million other bugs and quality of life problems since the server merger/Landfall update? Haven’t heard a peep in weeks and Classic is on fire Thanks
Really doing your own team dirty with this post when all you had to say was yes it was intentional but due to community outreach it has been reversed. Bad blizz bad
This right here is why I woukd have left the bug in. Players just can’t take wins when something is fixed. Honestly they should have fixed the bug in the raids that stops the switching of normal to heroic over this bug.
They “fixed” a bug they introduced, but have not fixed the significant issue that the customer base has with them… lack of actual good, clear, and concise information and communication.
Care to explain why Morgan Kirkpatrick flat out claimed it was intended then?
Who’s lying, you or your Senior Test Analyst? Because the answer is one of you.
