Currently there are around 400 players waiting at roughly 8 spawns that spawn roughly 5 minutes apart and each player has to loot 8 herbs.
You can do the math, the math is not mathing.
edit: I did the math: roughly 33.333(repeating of course) hours to complete this quest, I’ve been here 20 minutes and have looted 1/8 herb and 1/5 emergency supplies
this is the MOAB. The mother of all bottlenecks. Need more layering/increase spawns or the entire server will be stuck here
I got stuck on this quest when original MoP went live for 6 hours. I unsubbed, and played GW2 for a couple years. Was looking forward to actually giving MoP a try this time around, but I’ll never have the patience for 33 hours/quest.
They had quite a while to prepare for this launch and in true Blizzard fashion, they crashed and burned.
If I had to guess, they need to increase the spawn rate / layers by at least a factor of 20, if not more, for this particular combo of quests.
because the classic team is in charge of it. Not the actual wow devs.
Pretty piss poor experience at the serenity falls hub. Spent well over an hour on 2 quests. Fuming 
It’s utterly shocking that something this simple has been overlooked TWICE!!! This was an issue back when MoP originally released and is still an issue today. Small Indie Company who specializes in frustrating its customers

If it takes 2.5 minutes to spawn a new plant and a single player needs 8, that’s 20 minutes just for one player to finish the quest. If there’s 2 people on the same plant and you alternate, that’s 40 minutes each for each player.
This is a mandatory quest. This MUST be fixed now, please @blizzard
You have got to increase these spawn rates. People sitting on top of single spawns for hours is not fun.
You’d have to have a 2nd grade education to not see this coming too. I don’t know why blizzard refuses to prepare for anything ever.
I’ve been here 35 min in a full party and im 3 Supplies 0/8 plants
I went and solo’d stormstout brewery trash instead once I got to those quests, got 86 then straight to valley of the four winds questing. Super cruisy out here 1-2 other people on my quests max.
classic team is absolutely cooked, couldnt learn lessons from original mop and repeating it again.
yep, the literally only thing you can do is grind dungeons till 86 and skip the rest of jade forest zone, it’s completely broken
How is this not fixed yet???
I’ve been stuck here for over an hour. This is not fun.
realistically your best option is to just spam dungeons to level or just not play for a day or 2 if you want to level by questing. If you have a char that will struggle with questing more, like a healer or whatever, that would be the one to take through the dungeons and save the questing for later days for your guys that can smash through mobs fast
I really do not think blizzard could care less about this. It really frustrating sitting out here for the better part of 2 hours and still not able to get this quest completed.
Are you able to skip these quest?
Been just waiting around for an hour trying to do them, don’t really want to dungeon spawn.
