Someone care to explain why skill and gear doesn’t matter when facing against a ret. As long as you’re not something like 60 item levels ahead any decently geared ret will literally destroy most classes, especially Death Knight.
We get our pathetid Death Strike that heals for a whopping 5% of health and they get Word of Glory with healing hands that heals for about 60-70% of health
I think this is a learn to play issue

A 210 DK will lose to a 180 Ret pal.
A 226 DK wont lose to a 180 Ret pal, but thats not the same thing.
a 226 Ret Pal will slaughter a endless stream of 226FDK’s with minimal effort.
So will most things.
DK is like F tier relative to 1v1 right now.
I’ve seen Chillpills sit in front of SW and sauce rets like nobody’s business
If you’re a frost dk, you can definitely beat a ret in a duel, it’s not impossible
And don’t even get me started on Unholy 
My 200 ilvl UHDK lost to a level 52 Ret Paladin in green gear 
There is only one way Ret loses to DK.
And this is how it goes.
Ret vs DK.
Ret underestimated his opponents damage, because its a DK(lul).
Ret doesnt Divine Shield in time.
Ret loses.
Ret re-challenges.
Ret never loses again.
Now granted you could probably cheese some 1v1 duel oriented build with PvP talents, Rune of Sanguination, and the AMS legendary, and stand a chance…but you’d be a fraud.
It’s a good thing this game isn’t balanced around 1v1 amirite? Rip heartsop in 9.1 though.
duel-oriented builds are how you win duels, if someone cares about winning them enough to complain on the forums, then they should unbind their S-key and run a duel build

I’ve personally never once gave the furry crack of a rat’s behind how good my class is in 1v1s just because of how irrelevant it is. And I’d imagine people who do indeed care would play classes like Ferals, Rogues, Monks, etc.
Thank god it’s gone but feelsbadman that they have gotten 0 compensation in return. I think FDK is going to be completely outclassed by almost every melee next patch besides Unholy 
A good dk can smack a terrible ret. But even players a dk will never win. This isn’t mop anymore with infinite tools
Yes. Alot of people care.
Individual power has alot to do with how well your class feels to play.
As individuals we are currently the weakest.
Which feels extraordinarily bad because historically we are usually the most selfish, and most individually powerful class.
So its a painful contrast to what we generally are.

I can imagine that sucks for people who care. Sadly gone are the days where FDK was a single target consistent juggernaut instead of a Chill Streak support animal for Arms Warriors, and Unholy was a disease maniac.
Sucks what they turned Frost into. And Unholy is just a complete clunky dumpster fire right now in terms of PvP.
