I’m trying to decide whether to go Nightslayer or Dreamscythe. I am playing Alliance, and it feels like Dreamscythe is more populated (which is ultimately what I am looking for). Is there any way to check these population numbers?

All of them have high pops, there was a post with rough numbers but you won’t find anything concrete.
Since they only have 3 servers, you can’t really go wrong.
The PvP server is faction balanced so it’ll always be roughly 50/50
Just pick if you want full PvP or not.
Which is more casual friendly? I do want the danger of the enemy lurking in the open world, but I am a casual player myself, and my primary goal is to slowly quest and level up with others. Which would you recommend? Is there a type of server (PVP, PVE) in which people are more willing to group up to level?
PvP server should be fine honestly.
Grizzly is on the PvP server. Make sure you play there faction. You have never experienced a group of people like this in wow before. Trust me

Both servers are probably equally populated and would argue Nightslayer has the edge, being the only NA PvP server available.
No there horde but it doesn’t matter.

PvE is higher pop. Streamers didn’t really come to play so massive lack of followers, thus causing the lower PvP counts. Sorry not sorry.

PVE for sure.
You can still flag yourself for PVP if you want, but on the PVP server it will come with a lot of getting killed while leveling and there’s no way out of it for a casual.
I play PVE and just flag PVP most of the time. If I’m not feeling it that day I can just flag it off.
