Title sums this up really stupid system, or stupid is an understatement this system is the most horrid thing to ever come to Wow, Azerite sucks.
some traits are so unbalaced FFS they outpeform by more then 2x im refering to the demo lock Explosive Potential trait, the devs have no idea what they are doing.
Yep, I’m at 6 or 8k right now (don’t remember). My friend asked if I wanted to PVP today and I wanted to, but decided to play other games instead of spending 100k to swap and swap back. Great system…
You can get one random piece of 415 azerite on average every 3 weeks, that’s 9 weeks for 1 set, 18 weeks for 2 sets.
Sure you can get lower gear cheaper, but any sane person will realise that’s a loss.
Outside of raiding (heavy RNG) and possibly the warfront once a month (give or take) for 400, there’s no other way than the residuum vendor.
So keeping multiple sets of gear atm is mostly stocking 370 azerite which is a net loss 45 ilvls across 3 pieces of gear.
There needs to be a better and reasonable way to acquire it for offspec gearing… Many people don’t want to shell out every time they do a different type of content or play a different role.
Well said. Especially because we had to start over 2 weeks ago since all our old gear only had 1 outer ring. They just need to make it so reforging is a flat 100g cost per item.
dose anyone know how long it takes for the gold amount to go down?, i wanna know if im gonna be able to play this week or should just uninstall, prolly uninstalling is best at this point there is no fun in this game anymore.
is there any reason it should double everytime you respec, alot of people like to try new specs and this system limits how your able to play and when your able to play based on the cost, im at a 5k cost myself after playing with it for 25 mins, so next will be 10k, 20k, 40k, 80k for what to play the game?
the design of this is just terrible, anyone who says WOD was worse then BFA is full of crap this is by far the worst expac and might kill the game for good.
For lower level gear, with the rate of easily obtained loot, this isn’t a problem. But when you’re in mostly 400+ items, such as Turnberry or others, building multiple sets would take far too long to be worthwhile, so the frustration is understandable.
Not that I’m defending it but it was cut down to 24 hours. Still its a horrible way of handling it. At the very least they could make it so it resets all your azerite gear at once, rather then one piece.
Not a perfect solution but you could go to raidbots and sim the different traits. It sucks to have to go to a third pary site just to play around with traits, not to mention actually getting a feel for how the inpact performance/gameplay, but it beat having to pay the gold cost.
I am actually a fan of this system and think it is working as intended. It limits multi-speccing which is still far easier than it has been historically (for the most part).
That being said however… OP has an excellent point in his title. Experimenting with a new piece can unfairly cost a fortune.
This should be solvable though without compromising the system functionality. For example, if you had, say, 24 hours of playtime after acquiring a new piece to reset the traits on that piece for free. Alternatively you could make it free to switch traits around when in the vicinity of target dummies, and have the traits automatically revert to their original state when you leave the area. Heck, why not have both?
