Clearing Up Confusion Around Week 3 Scarlet Enclave Hotfixes for 4/22/2024

We’ve seen a bit of confusion about the Scarlet Enclave adjustments posted in today’s hotfix notes here and wanted to post an additional note ahead of tomorrow’s North American resets to clarify that these are not the only adjustments we have planned this week. The adjustments detailed in the post earlier this evening are already live as of today, but the remainder of the adjustments we have planned needed a bit more time for testing but are ready and waiting for deploy with regional downtimes starting tomorrow.

Here’s an overview of the adjustments coming with regional maintenance tomorrow:

  • Solistrasza, Beastmaster, and Mason and their adds have had their HP reduced by ~15%
  • Reborn Council, Lillian Voss, and Caldoran and their adds have had their HP reduced by ~10%
  • Reborn Council enrage increased from 5 minutes 30 seconds to 7 minutes
  • Lillian Voss enrage timer increased from 3 minutes to 4 minutes
  • Beatrix Trash HP lowered by 20%

We apologize for the confusion on this. We had intended to combine our communications around these two rounds of hotfixes tomorrow for clarity, but there was a miscommunication that prevented that on our end. We will continue to monitor performance in this next week’s reset and make additional adjustments as needed.

This is still not going to be tuned for 20 man raids. At this point we’re not progressing bosses we’re progressing dev nerfs while we just hang on and throw 30+ at a raid.

Appreciate the effort you all have put into this raid and dont want all the complaining to take away from that. But yes, thank you for listening to the player base.

Any chance you’ll seriously reconsider the nerf to rogue tanks? Or at bare minimum take a hard look at rogue tank competitiveness in Scarlet Enclave? Because it feels like we’re significantly underperforming compared to other tanks.

sad to see the plug pulled on Beatrix. waaaayy over the line IMO after the second nerf, but the rest seems pretty spot on. glad to see the enrage timers being loosened specifically as I feel that strict ones are a pretty anti-classic mechanic.

my guild was shorthanded and we managed to kill mason with 18 (his time being extended today to that 7 minutes) with his health also being nerfed 15% it is definitely going to be doable with 20 - kudos on the nerfs / hopefully playability of raid.

got to council in a largo pug on my warrior alt and for some of these fights (soli/council) more is definitely not better… (in terms of fun/flavor) council room is so small/cluttered already having 40 people in there makes it hard to see the ground effects. Excited to bus’ it down with 20 +2-3 bench flexers as the flex flex size was seemingly intitally intended (and also to probably facilitate real farming)

would love to see a revert on the shadowflame nerf for locks from naxx phase now that t3 4pc is in the gutter

There have been over 15 hotfixes for Season of Discovery ever since you messed up the update to Dragon Soul and wrongly removed progress of battleground victories.

Not to mention all the promises of rework of content and adjustments that were made in the interviews previous to cataclysm prepatch, like adjustments to shield tanks, revision of archaeology and so on.

It’s evident that this will likely not be fixed before Pandaria, since you took over 9 months to fix the track of honored kills on cata classic.

Will there be support for Pandaria classic? or will it still be borderline inexistent like it is now for cataclysm classic?

council nerf is pretty significant. those mobs dont have a shared hp pool. thats like a 30% hp nerf with another ~20 % leeway with the increased enrage

TRASH!?! The main problem in this raid is the fact 90% of the community has a 3 hour hard cut off time for raiding…theres WAY to much trash to clear, you cant even get a few attempts in at 3-4 bosses before people leave based on clearing time

Thank you! This is an amazing start. We can play around in our 20-man and see if this is manageable for the first 5 bosses. Seriously, that’s a great start for the normal raiding teams, and we appreciate you hearing us out!

You need to fix beast guy to not pat or lower his aggro range when he is …it’s not fun to wipe then fly to the tower and have someone aggron him then those in the tower also get clapped

Whatever happened to ‘10 minute enrage timers’ across the board for all bosses, regardless of difficulty? Bring that back.

Also, allow for Seal rank 1 or 2 to work in SE - you wouldn’t need all sorts of nerfs with this simple change. Making the Seal “worth it” in phase 8.

Also, give us something worthy to spend all these invasion tokens on. Some of us have well more than 10,000 of these things laying around taking up space in our bank since they only stack at 2k per stack.

Also, do something about the bots farming herbs/mines. In Blasted Lands alone, I found 13 characters hard following the same path taking up all the herb nodes. It’s infuriating as an actual player when I just wanna crank some tunes and farm some herbs to make potions with for later in the week and cannot do so due to bots.
