I was so anxious about not getting Arfus. I farmed across all my characters. Every day. Got it with a couple days to spare but I will say for everyone farming the love rocket - go big or go home. Farm it hard. I hope you all get it this year and it sucks that Blizz is unresponsive.
The only problem I see is more of this same model going forward. If it doesn’t change I will have to ween myself off the FOMO.

this drop has been like this for 14 years.
it’s not as if every coveted item since this was added, has the same drop rate.

I wish you’d spoke to me before doing that >_< I could’ve stopped you from wasting like $100.
But I’m in a similar boat. I have 3 separate BNets and I’m about to sub a 4th - like you said, halfway through so total waste of money but I’m desperate. I truly thought 3 accounts would be enough but with ~7 attempts left if I can get 7 more boosted chances I’ll consider it money well spent.

Its not about people getting the mount its about the chance drop lol, and what is the exact % did they buff ? Theres no other mount in the game that has less % drop even the buff on the first kill, if you know of any other mount that has lower dop % let me know cuz i would love to farm it

I love having two accounts. I’ve had them active since TBC.
I have mages on both so I can port myself around, I can invite myself to my guild, I can be doing pet battles on one window and something else like getting coins for the Lunar event on the other.
The only downside to having two accounts is it’s $15 vs. $30.

There are actually quite a few mounts that have a lower drop chance than the “first kill” Love Rocket, and even a few with a lower chance than the unbuffed Rocket.
Infinite Timereaver for example is 1 in 4,000 chance. Great Sea Ray is pretty low too, maybe not lower than unbuffed Rocket but certainly lower than First attempt. Heck, even Headless Horseman is likely lower than the Buffed Love Rocket at 0.5% compared to the suspected 1% of buffed Rocket.

Players should start talking about RNG as a whole…not only the drop rate but the frequency between attempts.
Since, we can compare to drops but if one drop is available all year, you can spam dungeons…etc changes the values to compare between both items, I think for example that Stratholmen mount has lower % that the first love rocket attempt but the grind is different, since you can spam Stratholme, therefore, better probability, also you can farm it on your own pace not 15 exact days…

Reaver is yea 1/4000 but timewalking is available all year round and you can farm the dungeons 24/7 for a week straight at 4/4000 per run … headless horse man mount is 0.4% which is higher than love rocket same as the ray … i think the love rocket is around 0.01% with out the buff, even with the buff you only get 14 tries and / or depending how many alts you have

I never said you couldn’t? You asked for mounts with a lower drop rate and I answered you. You didn’t say “What is a mount with less availability” .
Anyway, I pulled the trigger on the 4th account so I’ve got 28 “real” attempts left and ~180 “not gonna happen” attempts left. Can’t believe I’m giving Blizzard $96 this month just to NOT get the thing I’m chasing. Absolutely brilliant game design, it’s not like this is gonna burn me out and make me want to never play again or anything ~_~

me too. I gave up this year and ran it on my 2 mains and got it on my 3rd attempt (5 runs total}. I was just collecting the currency to buy the new mounts/toys/pets. I am not really sure if i got it on my 5th attempt or 3rd on that toon. it was a rockets that looked like the fireworks rockets.

I finally got the mount 2 days ago, was my first attempt of the day. So glad that farm is over. Been trying since this event started. Good luck to everyone still farming it.
