2019 wishes for the game

It’s a new year, if you had one wish for the game that came true this year what would it be?

Mine would be a more consistent and reliable way to get the gear you want on a weekly basis. RNG is not fun. I want control of my gearing.

I’m noticing a trend about less RNG…wonder if that is a point of interest with the playerbase Blizzard.

For wow to be fun again.

That’s literally all I want.

No more slot machines
No more RnG
No more pruned classes
No more bugs
No more rushed content
No more titanforge
No more warfronts
No more island expeditions
No more mythic +
No more 4 redundant difficulties of one raid
No more useless AP grind
For wow to feel fun again

If they removed RNG I feel after a while people come here complaining that game so boring cause you get gear so quickly and gearing is too predictable, we want RNG back… just wait for it. If that did happen then people dont know how much RNG was needed for the game. I feel they should ease it down but not remove it entirely. I don’t like RNG but I hate games that are too predictable even more so if I had to choose I choose RNG but possibly eased a little.

Half those things your just removing content… unless they replace them with better ones… it isn’t wise to make the game feel that it has less content to do. Having multiple difficulties allows everyone at different levels of raid exp actually see things in the game. To reduce it to a single difficulty is just dumb. Same for mythic + is fine, could be tuned down a little with bad affixes combo. Islands and warfronts gives us something to do that not raiding or pvping so I dont feel like they need to go…

My problem with that is this; I want control of how my character progresses. A few expansions ago, I had control and it felt good to finally get the pieces that I wanted. I cannot tell you with ANY certainty what I’m going to get this next week, if anything. That is frustrating to me personally, and I wish WoW would go in a direction where we could control more things about our character’s progression. Also, it is OK to have a character fully geared out. I like the feeling of being “finished” with a toon so I can move onto a new one.

It’s fine and dandy if you play on multiple characters but some people do actually hate the feeling that you can go weeks without an upgrade due to being fully geared and a long wait till next raid… alot of people would probably take breaks from game alot sooner and alot longer between raid tiers once they cleared.

Maybe instead of just random drop in a chest from mythic + have like some sort of quest reward system, weekly that you get to choose between 3 different rewards. Still rng but higher chance getting something and you can choose your reward. Like you click on npc if you finished a mythic + for the week and the rewards offered based on the level you completed

Time + Effort = Reward
If two people spend equal time and effort in the game regardless of what they are doing then they should get equal reward. One should not get better rewards because the RNG Gods favored them, or they are playing whatever system the Devs play and so it has the best reward options.

Add more modes (heroic, mythic, PvP) to Warfronts, other new content with commensurate rewards so people can progress challenge-wise and gear-wise in whatever way suits them. Some have this, some partially, some not at all, and even when they have some mode options players are still funneled to the same things anyway.

Its conclusion with some form of dignity.

More fun community events like the New Year party:

https://prnt.sc/m1w8g2

Let’s make some of these events cross-faction as well.

Stop catering to ultra-casual players. Let hard content be hard, let those that finish said content feel rewarded.

And this is coming from a fairly casual player myself…
