Gronn progenitors of Ogron who are progenitors of Ogres who are porgenitors of Orcs, thus Orcs are dimunitive Ogres.

Other MMO’s come out with a new race every expansion or major patch. We get reskins of existing races but no love from the races that already exist but are not playable.

Instead of body type 1 and 2 we could choose from 1 head or 2. Bonus stats from extra helm?

Depends on Midnight or Last Titan. 
No Mamma Ogre model, which seems like a silly excuse so many years down the road.
They could just reskin the Kul Tiran model. I think there is actually some concept art of how that could work.
I have to agree that giving people something close to what they were requesting, but not exactly what they are requesting, is a bit strange.
Like, I love my dragon, but I know what the people wanted.
Right up there with mecagnomes instead of the metal wrath gnomes, along with variations of Draenai, but no broken, Kul Tirans instead of Valkyre, and dare I bring up the whole high elf debate?

I dunno man, Kil Turan are not very popular, like at all but hey if the asset is there then more likely it’ll happen.
Who get’s them Horde or Alli?
Alli need an ugly/monster class badly, so maybe Ogre could be it!
Hardly anyone would have played that either. Gnomes are among the least popular races in WoW. Another variant of that would have been a pure waste anyway, and just like now, it would only attract a negligible small group of players.
I dont necessarily disagree with you.
But if you are gonna do it, why not make it what people were asking for?
Goblins aren’t exactly appealing either, and they made Vulpera out of them. 
Honestly, I think that all new races will be neutral, and possibly even the old races. The division is a more than outdated concept and forces players into constant unwanted compromises.
But if Blizzard actually gives Ogres to the Alliance and not to the Horde… well, it would be interesting to read the forums during that time.

Ogres are impractical and a terrible idea. There are already enough problems with Tauren.
Places in Horde areas you can’t even get to.
Things you can’t click.
Doors you can’t walk through.
Elevators that kill you.
All in Horde areas. That block or kill Tauren.
Ogres would be worse.
