20% of the WoW Community Council banned?

Who are we talking about here?

Because “those comments are from years ago” isn’t a good excuse lmao

Not a good excuse for what?

Look, I just want to know if he lied on the video or he was telling on himself because he knew the crap he said years ago was going to resurface.

tbh i just want to know what the vetting process is here. because you’d think they would have put a minimal amount of effort into it to prevent someone like that from getting on the CC

I doubt there was any vetting. It’s not an important position.

I don’t think even the Council knows. All we have is the questions they asked in the application which was open to view for everyone. They asked us for our Battletag, Main char, and the link to whatever social media content you were using for the app. That could be a discord, guild website, guide writing, stream, forum posts, etc. I linked my forum post history because I have nothing social.

I would assume they checked the Bnet account history for account actions at least.

For the MVP program, because it was a forum position, it is based on your forum post history which they do review as well as actions against your Bnet/WoW account.

I wonder how many people agree with the trash that was said there. A group that used to be very vocal.

I for one am very glad this person was removed from the CC. After all, they went on a notorious streamer video to get their side of the drama out there and have a minute of fame, disgusting.

Good riddance.

It really does seem like they just wanted attention and using their CC membership as some kind of ego trip to look important. …which is really pathetic lol

Asmon didn’t have to let them on his show

Put the credit where it belongs.

Where’s the facts he lied? So far it seems someone took his comment out of context on the discord. I get it because I sometimes

Still waiting on you to post your evidence and tell us who you are talking about. Otherwise everyone should just assume you are trolling.

Excluding the blues, aren’t there only like 35(ish) CC members currently? So how does 1-2 players being removed equal “20% of the Community Council”? :face_with_monocle:

Using some basic math, 2 players being removed is only a little over 5% of the Council (2 / 35 = 0.057%)

It’s against forum code of conduct for me to post it or divulge such information, you can assume I am trolling but a quick stroll through twitter would net you the same results.

There are currently 39. There were 40. One was removed.

The title of the video is incorrect and is likely designed to be clickbait. If you watch the video Asmon points out that at the time, 20% of posts were made by that one guy.

The second player there was never on the Council.

Quite different than what the title states. However, you know how many people read a headline and never read/watch what is behind it.

So is this the part where you just make the claim without any evidence to back it up?

Got it.

EDIT: I was wrong. Found the evidence, the dude is disgusting. I just wanted to see the proof for myself.

Well that is good to hear. Nobody wants to see a person get a forum suspension for posting profanity, hateful speech, etc. That is what would happen if someone linked things against the forum Code of Conduct.

Pretty silly thing to get yourself suspended over.

Prosident apparently went on other account and praised his own “chad energy” for admitting that he used to say the n-word regularly and refusing to elaborate.

Does anyone else find it ironic that the only people who post here defending this expansion are “Green Posters” (those designated by Blizzard as “their” idea of the average player)?

If there is a suggestion, comment, or complaint by an actual customer, they tend to get ridiculed, put down, or otherwise intimidated by the “Greens”. That or Blizzard just puts you in a “time out” from being able to post. Constructive criticism is not only not welcomed, it is flat out suppressed. Not a great business model, in my opinion, but it does explain this expansion.

Arrogance backed up by not listening to anything but praise is not a business plan, it’s a recipe for Shadowlands. I’ll break down this “green” post.

“There are currently 39. There were 40. One was removed.” So 39 people are speaking for a playerbase of how many? That’s an extremely arrogant view on how the game is perceived by its PAYING customer. I know exactly 0 “Community Council” members. Never been contacted or asked my opinion.

According to the research I’ve done, there are still about 4 million subscribers to WOW. Do the math. That’s .00000975 percent of the playerbase being represented by the Community Council. 39 people represent 4 million? That’s more frightening when you realize that those 39 are cherry picked to do nothing but stroke the ego’s of the developers. It’s not feedback, it’s feeding your own ego and having no regard for you customer (again, a really bad business plan). It’s like asking you mother if you are handsome.

Look at the subscription numbers and the content of this “Green” post. They are quite telling.

“Humility is the true key to success. Successful people lose their way at times. They often embrace and overindulge from the fruits of success. Humility halts this arrogance and self-indulging trap. Humble people share the credit and wealth, remaining focused and hungry to continue the journey of success.”

When is the last time you heard anything from the “Lead Developer”? Arrogance will be the downfall of this game, which is a shame, because I have enjoyed it for years.
