Seems like getting rid of premades has completely killed BG’s. 17 minutes for AB queue rn, and I’m not entirely sure why everyone is still farming WSG rep but I bet those queues are high as well.

Nope, queues are long because Blizzard listened to a few whiners on the forums rather than playing their own game and seeing 90% of pvpers enjoying premade v premading. So all those people left the game

thats untrue. tho i prefer premades bc i’m like 50-0 in p1 wsg i think premades were so unhealthy for the majority of the playerbase.
were getting high solo-que times rn but i think its a bug. i’ve tested this by solo-queing AB and getting 10min ques but if i invite my duo friend and que immeditely after dropping solo-que im getting literal instant que AB/wsg 90% of the time. sometimes we will wait 0-2mins max.
I think this is a bug since they removed 10man/15man premading wsg/AB and they’re using a weird group prio que system. i would assume its prio queing 2-5 stacks and most ppl are queing 2-5mans along with a ton of ally sniping double 5 stacks in wsg (very common ally thing we did in classic after premade original nerf since ally get faster ques) its easy to manipulate the system.
i could be wrong, but after testing this 5 nights in a row i feel like its true. this even works during the day/peak hours when solo-que is typically 0-5min max

When you can get exalted with AB by doing like 20 bloodmoons with a well composed group, no one is going to to AB for the rep

No they dont. Premade queues would be short if this was true. People are upset they dont get to pugstomp now so theyre not queueing.

Premades are only part of it.
They gutted AB with the unlimited lumber farm in STV. That BG is not dead for the entire rest of the expansion.
It will have “unavailable” queues in no time. Completely killed it.
But yes, alliance can’t premade and stomp on pugs so they stopped queueing all pvp. Only chance they have to win sadly.
They are short. They’re instant. Premades are just 5 man stacks now because nobody is going to wait for 100 or so people to q up the full premade q. Takes too much momentum to get it going.
Premades are now just 5 mans. They either stomp pugs like they were before or fight another 5 man premade just as they did in p1 with 10
Alliance aren’t queueing anymore for a few different reasons. You can thank all 5 of the SoD dev team for this.
People simply aren’t playing arathi at the moment because of blood moon reward. There’s really no point in drilling your head in for hours/days grinding to get exalted if that’s what you want. So people are just doing the blood moon, way more efficient.
That is the ’major reason you’re not getting ques not because of premade changes.
but the fun? isnt pvp fun?
Then wouldn’t the change be good for these people since it prioritizes putting premades against each other?

Sure, if you wanna have fun wait the que. But just know most people don’t enjoy classic pvp or pvp in general and are just going for rep. Which stv is way better for farming.
The dream move from Blizzard is to allow BG queues anywhere in the world, just like later expansions and retail.
This would make longer queue more tolerable and increase world PvP which is a HUGE extra.
Thanks for agreeing, hope the devs realize this (though I think they do, considering how balance is being prioritized)

I’ve already said what I want to say in regards to AB in other threads, but as far as world PvP I will say I am legitimately sad it’s so lacking this phase.
Ashenvale cross roads or Maestra’s Post were constantly popping off, there was PvP in the pool at BFD, ganking at the dwarves in wetlands, and so on. I see so little world PvP now. I’m really, really hoping that we get done good wPvP outside ST next phase, or maybe in Hinterlands. Something. I miss world PvP.

They already are. In 5 man groups just like they were as 10 in p1.
Nobody is going to q as 10 because it takes too much momentum and too many people waiting in q for what could be hours. People are at work/sleeping/play at different times etc.
Why would we do that when we can just q as 5 insta and fight each other/stomp pugs?
Ally are too busy wah wahing about shamans to queue up.
Oh man that would be awesome. Hinterlands is a nice looking zone which would be enjoyable to the eyes.
This is also sad but true. I find myself going to the Badlands trying to find PvP, yet even there it’s slim. It’s like, there is no true good place to find allot of players unless you are doing the eyesore STV event.
