No, I wouldn’t be interested in that set up.
No, I want my current couple characters to progress. Then, hopefully since I have invested so much time on those characters, continue into BC on those same characters.
This is a more reasonable ask; if it was a specific server type, and I knew on character creation there was a limited season (the term they use for this in diablo) then it’d be fine.
One of the things some people wanted from classic was a game they could eventually finish, with no threat of the game updating before they were done. I think ditching that in favor of fresh is basically telling that group of people to shove it for another group. Making it a new server ruletype, with that being explicit from the get-go avoids this problem.
If it turns out to be more popular than the regular ruletype, that’s fantastic and players can pick the type they prefer and be surrounded by people who want to be there. Win/Win in my books, even if the one I want to play has less people.
Dude, do you play hunter on horde as well with the same name?
A lot of people in classic already do everything they can to avoid and skip leveling or to skip 90% of the actual content in the game to skip to raiding and then raid log…
Do you really think that forcing everyone to level all over again every 2 years is going to retain players?
I’d like this but with improvements every time.
Spell batching and Leeway have to go.
I only PVE to get PvP gear… but PvP sucks due to the above problems.
So because of that I also don’t PvE outside of running aq20/zg20 as a leader of the raid.
That’s when the game truly begins, do BG’s.
Nope I only play alliance
I was a Alt-o-holic and for the first time in wow and pserver history for me. I am now done with leveling. I have 3 char’s 40, 45, 48. I just can’t finish leveling them and running MC/BWL/AQ again.
I am happy with my mage and hunter at 60. If I had to level up again, I just wouldnt do it.
I would rather them open new fresh servers compared to completely wiping all the progress I’ve made.
I like being able to take breaks from the game and come back to my stuff where I left it.
Imagine you sink hundreds of hours into a toon just for it all to disappear and revert back to level 1. Oof.
You get to level cap and PvP. True end game is PvP. There will always be deniers. This is the truth though. No need for resets for that reason. You level up and gear up so you can get into it with the other faction.
Make it 2.5 year cycles and I’m good. Let one wind down before ramping up the next one.
Spell batching yes, leeway no.
The game has never existed in a state without leeway, it continues to exist on retail for a reason.
Seasonal servers with regular resets would actually be kind of cool. Maybe every year instead of every two years, and with a phase schedule adjusted accordingly. These should obviously just be new servers that wipe regularly, leaving the existing servers alone.
There are several different versions of specialty servers people are suggesting here. I don’t care if blizzard creates them but for me most of them are servers I wouldn’t play on. I know some people think vanilla wow was the greatest game ever made but for me it’s just one of many good games. Good enough to replay once after 15 years but not worth replaying every two years
There is clearly a demand for fresh servers, as well as a demand for permanent classic servers, as well as demand for TBC. I doubt Blizzard wants to maintain three separate sets of servers, so some group is going to be dissappointed.
how about we reset your bank account instead to 0 every 2 years, go start over.
no to that. put i am ok if blizzard wants to open 1 fresh realm and it be only seasonal for those whom want to go that route.
Exists or not it is not good for my gaming experience,
Not being able to use movement as a skill just sucks.
Just come to kronis 4
