Please don’t — they simultaneously changed drop rates based on the number of mobs being looted at once, and I expect it would happen again. Feel free to test yourself on retail — kill 10 mobs one by one and loot after each kill, then kill 10 mobs with AoE and AoE loot them once at the end — you’ll see a 50% or more reduction in loot received. Very easy to notice when you’re pulling entire dungeons at a time.
We already have cross faction AH in booty bay. Don’t see a need to allow self-purchasing either — I’m sure it possible to fine /one/ person who will help you facilitate cross faction purchasing.
You might be surprised but low on population factions, it is often difficult to find 1 person that is free to do this kind of transfer once, much less the 2 different times it takes to move money one way, and items the other. There are times when we have less than 20 people on at once. Not peak play times, but at non-peak times, it happens.
You can disable AoE loot now? When I originally tested this, that was not an option.
Sure, but in this case I’d say some patience can go a long way. Ask if they’d be willing, and then coordinate with them to have a time to do it. Urgency is…inappropriate here, imo.
Apparently you can’t. I must have been thinking of a different game on this.
It can, but it adds to the complexity and wait time. Sometimes significantly. There is also an element of trust that is needed. I have quite a few in guild that I can trust. That doesn’t mean I trust everyone in guild. Especially if the purchase is a big one.
