Is this game so old and convoluted with code that it requires 2 days in a row of scheduled maintenance, one lasting 6 hours?
Today’s was like 15 minutes and it was to fix the AH servers that went bonkers over the weekend.
Tomorrow’s is to implement patch 11.1.7 and patch days are always long maintenance days.
Ya beat me to it, brava!
No, it’s starting at 9PDT for some reason, which has me wondering…
Do I open my vault before maintenance starts?
Edit: launcher says 9, website says 7. For some reason they cant even get the start time to be correct lol
Weekly maintenance has started at 7am Tuesday Irvine time since the game launched. It’s never changed.
As for the other surprises, theyre becoming quite intrusive because people will logoff when they would otherwise have done one more key.
This is false, they used to do maintenance earlier. You can find plenty of archived info showing start times of 5am pacific
I remember that too.
People who have never had a real job or had people depend on them to make money to live: “WHY DON’T OTHER PEOPLE WORK HARDER!!!"
Strangely, the maintenance tomorrow starts one hour after the weekly reset.
Yes. You don’t know what kind of vault bugs are coming in the patch.
Should probably brace yourselves for the large amount of downtime following the patch as well because they can’t do anything right the 1st second or 3rd tries.
Only on the launcher. The website lists it starting at 7am PST.
The janitor must have updated the launcher.
Just wait until they put the patch into the game… we’ll need more than just the initial maintenance.
Something will break, it always does.
Tomorrow is for a new patch so that is pretty typical to be 8 hours… maybe extended.
Today was less than half hour that is more like a restart than maintenance IMO.
I havent played wow in like 3 days, been playing chrono trigger, and thats what im doing tomorrow
Oh nice, the routine maintenance complaint threads.
I spent all weekend playing FF14. The servers went down at 1 PM for 14 hours of maintenance. I started farming for the void-crystal panther today.
They fired the entire QA team and realistically who knows how many tech workers for profits baby.
Long maintenance also, irrefutably, saves them money by denying the subbed players their paid for right to play. The maintenance the game goes through tomorrow will save Blizzard over a million dollars, assuming their subs are somewhere around 7 million.
That makes absolutely ZERO sense.
