Pvpers are on the lowside on all versions of vanilla. A suggestion for all sod and vanilla servers would be to allow queing bgs anywhere in the world. Typically I’m a no change guy, but one can’t help but notice the low pvp participation in era and sod. Recommending retail version of BG queing for all vanilla. Que anywhere, return to where you phased in at on BG exit. This should alleviate the lack of pvpers somewhat.
Finally, especially in sod, it’s time to introduce infinite mana on battleground respawns. Punishing mana users because we have to buff should be an old forgotten relic that should be balanced out of the game at this point.
not going to do a damn thing with how imbalanced SOD is.
Ele shaman is so broken to a point where its the best burst best dps best survival best utility by a mile.
we have given so many suggestions on how to fix it.
devs have went with non and instead buffing it based on pve over and over again.
I’m talking about the buff you get when you resurect in a battleground thats in other versions of wow. You know, like 15 seconds where your mana cost for spells is 0 so you can fort, shadow protect, fear ward, innerfire, and divine spirit without being at 30% mana after a BG spirit res? I’m not certain if sod has this or not already because I don’t bg on sod as a caster, but it sure does suck for mana users in era. Current version of era when you respawn as a priest, you either spend 60 seconds buffing/manaing up or you just choose 1 or 2 buffs and sprint into battle at 70% mana. Kinda sucks and is pointless.
I know 2 other things that would greatly help the Sod world. Retail andys that want retail changes go back to retail. Next would be to stop trying to change things here over stupid stuff like this. The devs cant keep this game up as is and now you want to give them more work over something this petty?
Don’t do it. I resubbed out of boredom because WoW has always been my “default” game. I leveled a hunter out of boredom, I already had a max level paladin that I mained, as I’ve always mained a paladin in Era.
Did a few BGs to test the waters… The !!!PET!!! of my fresh 50 in AH gear and quest greens hunter does more damage than my deep ret paladin with Kang and all of the rank 6 gear.
At the same time, I bring absolutely no utility to the fight because it takes 7 holy lights to top anyone off and I have the mana for maybe 3 unless I’m in full int gear. Everything else is immediately dispelled and fights are over in 3 seconds before I’m lucky to get one SoC command.
I played deep MM until 45ish and I was doing comparable damage by level 40, from a distance. With actual CC. I’m going back into the fresh waiting room, lol.
Will probably be just as disappointed with phase 4.
I havent played retail in a few years. Try again. How is it petty? You must be a pve only player. Also face it, sod isn’t a religious version of classic that has to follow every rule nor does it have to be fully retail-fied. Now these changes wouldn’t cause any massive inconvenience or effect the “real rpg” world feel of sod/classic/vanilla at all. Nor does it speed up any intended timely grind, or anything like that. It’s hardly a QOL, but simply, a way for casters to properly compete in staged pvp.
I mean unless you like warrior stacking in pvp.
I mean we have the no change version right over there. I play it a few times a week. I love it. It has weaknesses that sod doesn’t have to have though. Nobody likes racing to the green leaf. Nobody likes rolling a healer just to have your full wsg team leave you 100 yards behind because you had to green leaf.
