We have some exciting things to announce, and I’ll be sharing more next week.

Based on the PR speak I’m reading…I’m not expecting much for any actual games.

That’ll be in February

More piggeh mounts? Announce more piggeh mounts please.

Normally I would agree with you but the previous line is

"We also know we need to deliver content to our players on a more regular basis and innovate both in and beyond our existing games. "

My guess is lunar new year stuff and possibly some new game feature like cross faction pve or something for 10.0.

They didn’t specifically mention it would an announcement for any games thought. For all we know it could be more info on Overwatch 2 and most won’t care.

9.2 release date and when the next teaser about the next expansion will be.

That’s what we’re gonna get.

LOL, I wonder how Microsoft will be handling the reigns now that they own Blizzard?

It’s the Year of the Tiger, so I’d expect something along those lines, not piggehs.

but… I want more piggehs. :pig:

They don’t own Blizzard. Not yet anyway.

They’ve stated intent and the wheels have started moving, prices have been set, paperwork is being filed etc. But the sale will not be finalized until it passes regulatory approval. This is the largest acquisition in video game history, so while Microsoft is confident that they’ll be able to get it approved, it’s entirely possible that the government will step in and put a stop to the sale.

If they do that, then Microsoft will ‘own’ nothing and Activision Blizzard will remain as it is now, or they’ll need to hack apart Activision Blizzard and Microsoft will only get some parts of the company (for example, the regulators may say “You can have Activision Publishing and Blizzard Entertainment, but we won’t let you have King Digital.”) and not the entire thing.

We’ll know more as the year rolls out, regulatory approval may be gained sometime in the 2023 fiscal year (which runs from July 2022 to July 2023).

I think they’re going to announce a delay in announcing the next Overwatch 2 delay and a new season pass for WoW Classic that is required to continue Season of Mastery.
