At this point everyone will be in super long waits to get on the server. I know as a member of Herod, we have been the poster-child for the long wait time jokes, but at this rate we are all going to be in the most ridiculous wait times, unless they release the proper amount of servers.
Half of our guild is subbing on Monday. I have no clue what the numbers are, but what if more people sub on Monday? It is going to be a total mess, and really, there is no need for it. Just release more severs already.
Yes, it’s easy for them to add new servers, but it is un-reasonable to keep telling us to leave servers that are full, only to join servers that end up full. They basically said that if you are on a high or better server, you are screwed.
The only complaint about all this that I have is the dramatic difference between “full” from server to server. No doubt certain ones have 10x the populations of other “full” servers. I’d like to know what the actual numbers are.
That is why I am not even renewing my sub until I identify a server that has no or very low queue. As much as I want to play, I am not paying money until I know I actually can. Been there done that, lost weeks of play time I paid for…learned my lesson.
Blizzard knows a little less than half the people intending to play Classic haven’t even subbed yet. The thing is, they aren’t all going to pile on to the new servers being opened on the 26th. Many of them have commitments to friends and guildmates that are already planning on playing Full or High servers. Should be interesting how this sorts itself out, if at all.
I understand that.
What blizz doesn’t is that only a very small amount of people are gonna waste their money on sub time before the game is even open to play just to reserve a name, and most casual modern wow players aren’t going to care enough to reserve names either.
Only the most obsessive players do this, and if all of the servers are being overloaded like this already it’s not hard to guess what’s going to happen when the tourists that make up the other 90% of the population in every mmo shows up.
I mean there’s going to be honey moon phase obviously so seeing a large number early on is normal, me personally i won’t be playing as i was a runescape guy and not into wow at all, in fact, this is my first time on the forums in i don’t know how long. but if you enjoy it the game more power to you though
Everything should be fine unless you planned to play on Faerlina, Herod or Whitemane in NA.
Guess your guild didn’t get the memo. Have fun with over 8 hour queue’s on release. Or hope all the tourists jump ship and leave that server in peace.
Resorting to insults now? Guess if you would have read or watched any Dev interview you would know that they can spin up a new realm instantly as needed.
Saw a vision 6 months ago and immediately wrote to Blizzard on FB. Classic gonna have 3.4 million LOGINS on day 1. Note not accounts, but total logins. I hope they’re prepared. All hell is upon us.
